John from ATA made our weekend camping trip to Vermont exciting. We did the Caving and Kayaking adventure. We were new to caving, so we did a cave that wasn’t too difficult. Still, the ability to stretch and lift yourself up a little is required. It was challenging and fun, exactly what my girlfriends and I were looking for. Kayaking was done in a gentle river, and it was like paddling through a maze. I highly recommend booking these activities if you’re looking for something to do on your trip. John is friendly and easygoing and he offers a variety of activities from sightseeing to caving!See more..
I took my two boys, aged 12 and 10, for an e-bike adventure. Well, it turned out to be a wonderful 4th July evening. The e-bikes were very well maintained and Kyle was great at explaining how they worked, to both me and my boys. After the 16 mile, super fun ride around the Norwich Hills, we joined Kyle, Jayne, Eric, Andrea, and MaKensi for a BBQ, camp fire and S'mores. We hung out later into the evening and had the best time playing corn hole & volleyball with some of the thru hikers, and finished the evening watching the fireworks while swimming in the river. What a welcoming and fun team. We felt like part of the crowd and they were wonderful at embracing my kids energy. I would recommend renting bikes, kayaks and other equipment from these guys. Such a fun time!See more..
5.0Burtt's Apple Orchard(6 reviews) - A lovely afternoon Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Hiking & Camping Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
My boyfriend and I went on a lovely autumn afternoon and the apple picking was lots of fun, even relaxing walking through all the rows of trees. They obviously have an insane level of varieties to pick from, the hot apple cider was great, the donuts were dry and lackluster but as they're all very cheap it wasn't a huge deal. We went to late in the season for the free corn maze but we still enjoyed our trip immensely See more..
5.0Bear Trax Adventures(4 reviews) - An active snowy day off the slopes! Hiking & Camping Tours Joined the 11:30am Snowshed Tour as a solo traveler. Lisa was a great guide and offered wonderful conversation. Only 2 others were on the tour; loved how small the group was!! The lunch in the yurt was good (apple butternut bisque!) and made for a cool destination after our ascent. It was a great way to be active, enjoy the snow and see the area without skiing! I recommend this tour & would do it again! See more..
Wow! My wife, dog, and I just returned from a 5-day inn-to-inn cross country skiing trip, and we’re still buzzing about it… Peter skillfully taught us the back country skills we needed during our first day, then supported us throughout with an exceptional experience. No detail of this comprehensive tour was missed. Highly recommended!See more..
