We truly enjoyed our time at Eden Dogsledding from the first moment we stepped out of our car. We were welcomed by the howling of all the dogs and then by the joyful and playful embrace and welcome of some of them. We are thankful that Jim (the owner) allows for time to get to know the dogs, their special traits, their story, and to freely interact with them. It was fun and interesting to get them ready and see the dogs' excitement right before they got ready to be hooked up to the cart. The ride was beyond expectation: it was fun, exciting, energetic! I think we must have asked Jim hundreds of questions which he gladly answered and even added some of his adventures with dogsledding competitions. We went out with Ken, Gabby and the dogs on 1/9 at 10am. I went with 3 of my girl friends, this is something we have wanted to do for a very long time. Ken and Gabby are such great people! Spent time answering many questions we had about sledding, about the dogs and so many other things. It was like we were old friends. Being a HUGE dog lover mad this even more fun for me. I loved getting to play with the dogs, harness them up and then give them treats and more love when we got back. Nice warm tent with a wood stove and hot chocolate when you get back too! I would go back and go sledding with these guys any day! Highly recommend Peace Pups if you are looking to go sledding.See more..
I don't have enough good things to say about Husky Works. We drove up in a snowstorm and were 45 minutes late and they were so sweet when we arrived. Although they knew we were running behind, they sure didn't act like it was a bother. It was snowing about as hard as it could and they were still excited to take us out and show us what the dogs could do. The dogs were amazing, the stop at the cabin was really enjoyable (amazing cookies and hot cocoa!!!) and we all felt like we learned so much about the sport, the dogs, the family. I hope everyone gets a chance to do this once in their life, it really was so much fun! Thanks!See more..

We booked a private day tour with David and his tour was the highlight of our summer! David is incredibly knowledgeable about various birds. He can walk into nature and immediately start to identify all the birds he hears. His enthusiasm and positive energy made our trip enjoyable, he was a pleasure to be around! We loved seeing the different ecosystems of Vermont; valleys, mountains, and Lake Champlain. Each had different species of birds. In total we saw 62 species which was pretty incredible. My personal favorites from the trip; Alder Flycatcher, Northern Flicker, Kestrel, Black & White Warbler, and Indigo Bunting! I'd highly recommend booking with David if you are seeking a bird adventure, he's wonderful!See more..
I took my two boys, aged 12 and 10, for an e-bike adventure. Well, it turned out to be a wonderful 4th July evening. The e-bikes were very well maintained and Kyle was great at explaining how they worked, to both me and my boys. After the 16 mile, super fun ride around the Norwich Hills, we joined Kyle, Jayne, Eric, Andrea, and MaKensi for a BBQ, camp fire and S'mores. We hung out later into the evening and had the best time playing corn hole & volleyball with some of the thru hikers, and finished the evening watching the fireworks while swimming in the river. What a welcoming and fun team. We felt like part of the crowd and they were wonderful at embracing my kids energy. I would recommend renting bikes, kayaks and other equipment from these guys. My boyfriend and I went on a lovely autumn afternoon and the apple picking was lots of fun, even relaxing walking through all the rows of trees. They obviously have an insane level of varieties to pick from, the hot apple cider was great, the donuts were dry and lackluster but as they're all very cheap it wasn't a huge deal. We went to late in the season for the free corn maze but we still enjoyed our trip immensely See more..

My wife, dog, and I just returned from a 5-day inn-to-inn cross country skiing trip, and we’re still buzzing about it… Peter skillfully taught us the back country skills we needed during our first day, then supported us throughout with an exceptional experience. I went ice-fishing with Fred for 2 days. One day was slow but the other produced many fish & several species. Fred is a great guide, easy going, and fun to fish with. He is the only guy I know anywhere that offers guided rabbit hunts. I will probably go back later on & do a combo ice fishing-rabbit hunting trip for 3 or 4 days. Just got through eating some of the fish. Those little yellow perch were delicious. Vermont is a long way from my home in Texas, but Fred & his friends at the Brookside B&B made me feel at home for a couple days. Thanks Fred. Go get some rabbits.See more..
