On a whim, considering a little birthday wish my daughter had been hoping for, we called LaJoie. I didnt even leave a message, bc I figured there was no way we could get a same-day reservation. A lovely woman called me right back and said, I think we can squeeze you in. Within a few hours, we were hopping onto the backs of the sweetest horses, led by an even more fantastic guide (Hayley) and just overall had a once in a lifetime (for us city folks anyway) experience. My daughter was beside herself with happiness and we all felt as if we all had the most special vacation memory by riding horses peacefully through the Vermont woods for an hour. We saw some deer and wild turkeys to round out the animal experience. The cool all woman team running Lajoie are very professional and we would go back in a heartbeat. I highly recommend a ride at LaJoie. See more..

If you love riding horses, this is the place to go. Icelandic horses are my favorite breed because they are so easy to ride. Plus, the farm and country here are so beautiful and peaceful! The owner Karen and her family live and work on this ranch- she is very generous with her time and flexible with your needs. Our friendly tour guide (also named Karen) owns several horses here and was an absolute pleasure to ride with. So much so that I came back for a second day of riding. I’m most grateful for meeting these amazing people and can’t wait to return! Takk fyrir ❤️ See more..

    - Fabulous Horse Back Riding Experience in VT

Our trip to Chipman Stables was wonderful! With bad weather on the way, the stable contacted us and worked with our complicated schedule to ensure that our ride could still happen and we are so happy it did! We had a party of 4 - 2 experienced riders and 2 people relatively new to horses. The staff match us all so well to our mounts that everyone was able to have a great time. The horses were beautiful, well cared for and very kind. The trails are well maintained and the views are terrific. Our trail guide (Sadie) was great and quite informative as we made our way around the trails. I would highly recommend Chipman Stables to anyone looking for a wonderful horse experience and look forward to heading back their myself in the future. See more..
