Best Vacation Ever!
From the very first night when we met our guides Simon, Elliot, and John in Dunedin, to the last day of the trip in Christchurch, our group was transported across the south island of New Zealand with comfort and care. The hotel accommodations and the food was the best that could be had in each of our locations. The experiences provided were unique and unforgettable. The care and concern of our guides for each traveler was genuine. The team changed bike pedals and seats, and worked hard to provide each of us with a comfortable ride according to our needs. Some guests were reluctant to try new experiences, but found themselves being delighted by the persistence and leadership of our guides that ushered them through activities they'd never done before. The exceptional planning and professionalism of GBT made this trip worth every penny.

Great Bike Tours is the BEST!
We recently went on Great Bike Tours’ Florida Keys trip, and I cannot say enough good things about it. Each day was amazing, the scenery was beautiful, the extra activities were so much fun, and I don’t think I have ever had better guides! But the first thing I loved was the upfront support that I got as far as suggesting which apps to get. I am not particularly technically proficient, and I wasn’t happy at first about having to learn new apps. But I did it, and they turned out to be easy to learn and invaluable on the trip! The Cluster app allowed the participants to share their photos and that was a real treat. The Ride with GPS app worked superbly and prevented me from having anxiety about the route. I really, really liked that app! It was like having a GPS for your bike. I also appreciated having the Venmo app so that I could let Venmo give the guides their tip money at the end without having to carry around a lot of cash. That was a stress relief! The scenery of the Florida Keys was amazing, and I appreciated the variety of the different biking days. One day we rode beside alligators in the Everglades. The alligators are sunning themselves and not interested in the bike riders, but riding and seeing them was quite thrilling! Another day was through a very undeveloped area on northern Key Largo, and it was pleasant riding through the woods. I even saw a raccoon run across the road! But of course, the star of the scenery was the beautiful, gorgeous turquoise water that we saw from the many bridges on the way to Key West. The rides through Key West were a variety of areas near the beach and ocean and quiet residential areas, all of them beautiful. We also had most of our meals in waterfront locations with great beauty to behold. The extra activities were so fun! Besides the bike riding, we went kayaking in John Pennekamp State Park, we saw dolphins & iguanas in the Dolphin Research Center and ailing turtles at the Turtle Hospital, and went sailing on a 54-ft yacht. All of those were awesome activities and we enjoyed them a lot! But, as others have said, the stars of the entire trip were the guides, Elliot, Julian and Dan. They were so professional and organized. Everything was so well-planned and worked out perfectly. They were so attentive to each person. We had a group of 12 on our tour, but the guides worked it out so that the people not in that group did not feel left out in the slightest. They were so friendly and welcoming that they put us at ease from the first moment. I loved Great Bike Tours and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a bike tour!
