From the very first night when we met our guides Simon, Elliot, and John in Dunedin, to the last day of the trip in Christchurch, our group was transported across the south island of New Zealand with comfort and care. The hotel accommodations and the food was the best that could be had in each of our locations. The experiences provided were unique and unforgettable. The care and concern of our guides for each traveler was genuine. The team changed bike pedals and seats, and worked hard to provide each of us with a comfortable ride according to our needs. Some guests were reluctant to try new experiences, but found themselves being delighted by the persistence and leadership of our guides that ushered them through activities they'd never done before. There are several great attractions in the area. We stopped by the Shelburne Orchards (216 Orchard St) for some cider donuts and fresh picked apples. You can pick them yourself if you wish. The Shelburne Museum is a full days worth of marvelous historical buildings, folk art, furnishings and learning all for $25 (AAA discount in addition). There is a cafe on site with great lunch options. Make reservations in advance for a tour of the house and gardens with a nice tea to follow at the marvelous Inn at Shelburne Farms, home to one of the Vanderbilt’s, on Lake Champlain. This is a fabulous farmers' market...lots of local choices for produce, sampling, dining and shopping. It is our Saturday morning "go-to" event. O'Bread from Shelburne Farms is a highlight, as are the crepes from Rustic Root Cafe...cooked while you watch! (Try the Cafe too...right across the street) We enjoy the pizza from the outdoor oven by La Cucina...(restaurant in the Shelburne shopping Park) and all the local cheeses and veggies. If you like to fish Lake Champlain is the bomb. Went out with Capt. Adam and caught a bunch of smallies. Including my personal best a 4lb. Great fight. The rest were all 2-3 lbs. At the end of the day we targeted pan fish ,caught a lot of slab size sunfish. And some nice perch. Next day we went out with Capt. Brian ,Adams brother. Looking for Lake trout. We were not disappointed. The three of us landed about 15 lakers. The largest was 12 lbs. Not only did they put us on fish ,but for $5 a fish they will process the fish and vaccum pack them. I almost forgot to mention first mate Schyler. This guy was amazing . Adjusting the downriggers is a constant job working 5 rods. Tip this guy big time. This is a family run business. They also have a restaurant. I know I'll be back again and look these guys up. See more..

Love the cute photo props outside and brightly painted facade. We went Sunday morning and it was empty. The lack of variety was a little disappointing, but... not sure disappointing as the lack of quality. My expectations were set up too high by the outside appearance. There were couple of t-shirt styles and couple of sweat shirt styles, neither with an embroidery (just print). When trying to choose a bear, we stuck to the traditional, small $39.99 one. Unfortunately, 6 hours later, one of the eyes fell out. It appeared that the glue was never placed to hold it. It's a pretty serious issue to try an explain to a 10 y.o. who spend an hour picking a bear with the "right face" and "the best eye color". Not sure how this will end, but still waiting to hear from the customer service about the "Bear Hospital " arrangement. It could've been a great experience... See more..

My husband and I stopped in the Fiddlehead Brewery in beautiful Shelbourne, VT this afternoon. We love craft beers and Fiddlehead has an outstanding selection! We sat at the bar and really enjoyed our interactions with the two outstanding servers ! We had incredible service !! We love places that allow you to have a taste of their beers prior to ordering. Josh, one of the servers , was amazing! We sampled some outstanding IPAs , enjoyed 8oz and 16 oz pours and left with well priced cans to take home to VA. This is a brewery we highly recommend.
