  1. 5.0 7 Seas Whale Watch (3.967 reviews)
    - Best Whale Watch!

Fabulous! Clean comfortable boat that only allows space to150 people, but could easily accept 300. Naturalist was very knowledgeable and went through the entire boat to chat and answer any questions. Worth the drive to Gloucester as your boat ride to the sanctuary is shorter and viewing time is much longer than other companies. Staff is top notch, professional and the entire event ran like a well oiled machine. We took the morning trip and saw eight humpback whales and endless dolphins at close range. The boat is conducive for this. The whales/dolphins fed undaunted and seemingly unaware we were even there. Although never guaranteed, we were lucky enough to see one breach. It was a perfect trip! What a great way to spend an afternoon in Bar Harbor. The 2 person crew was friendly, polite and super informative. The boat was pretty full but it felt roomy enough. The guide, Gaelyn, narrated throughout the excursion with unmatched enthusiasm. He is a retired teacher and it was obvious that he loves to teach and entertain. We learned in an interactive way about lobsters and the harbor. After the lobster hunting we road out to a lighthouse where we circumnavigated the little island it's on. There were two types of seals swimming and sunning. Tons of birds enjoyed the island and it's skies including two amazing bald eagles. Only SLIGHT possible negative .... Gaelyn really likes hamming it up with the kids. There were 5 kids on board and there was a LOT of time spent being silly with them. Seriously, how many ways can you put a lobster on a kid's head? If you're annoyed by weird kid stuff, this could be uncool for you. Haha! If you have kids, bring them! See more..
  3. 5.0 Maine State Sea Kayak (1.031 reviews)
    - Worth every cent!

Sam did a great job leading his first trip! He was very knowledgeable of the area, came prepared for any unexpected circumstances and did a great job keeping the group together and keeping people engaged. It was great to have Kyle as a bonus guide, he added humor and well seasoned knowledge of the area and really shared his passion with us. Shout out to Colby for not only driving the bus but driving a bus with a trailer attached to it - as someone who has sent a trailer over the edge of a ramp more than once, I was impressed. All in all I would highly recommend adding Maine State Sea Kayak onto your to-do list for your trip to Acadia, the staff are great, the views are wonderful, and the wildlife is hard to beat, one of the best kayak trips I’ve gone on with guides! My mother, grandmother and 4 year old went on Pirate Adventures and they were all smiles (and pirate talk) after. My 93 year old grandmother was welcomed aboard and sat in the shaded rear of the boat with my mom while my son joined the crew in the bow. He had an amazing time and was reciting the songs and stories when he got off the boat. WELL WORTH IT! Will absolutely be going again. See more..

the folks at Scenic Flights were wonderful from our first call seeking reservation, there follow up in between and our arrival at their office. The plane was clean as a whistle and ready to go when we arrived, the pilot a consummate professional with great knowledge of the area. He provided a nice narrative of what we were seeing while not being overwhelming w talking. We have done flightseeing trips all over the world, The Acadia operation is top notch, hence they have been around for decades. See more..
  6. 5.0 Stick'n Rudder Aero Tours (493 reviews)

Kyle is an amazing pilot and tour guide. His concern for safety is very reassuring. His landing was extremely impressive- you could barely feel the plane touching down. The views of the Cape are breathtaking. Kyle always keeps you aware of your surroundings and what you are seeing, and tells many interesting stories to provide background and history about the Cape. A tip to people with sensitive ears- I would recommend an ear plug on the side that faces the outside of the plane. It’s an open cockpit biplane- gorgeous and exciting but loud! Also, there is a knob on the right side of the provided headphones to adjust the volume of Kyle’s voice. What an experience to see our beloved Cape in all its glory from the sky! See more..
