We used Black Forest Tours to book a 2 hour walking tour of the old town of Freiburg and an all day exploration of the western part of the Black Forest. We had the same terrific guide for both, Annemarie Schaaf. Our group was 5 adults and five teens. The choice of locations and activities by Simone of the Tour company were also just right for this group. We had plannend in July 2021 a road trip with out scouting group (22 children and 13 leaders) from Belgium, through the north of France, to Germany. During the Germany stage, we would do a rafting activity with MB event. The heavy weather conditions (rains and floods), however, did us divert from this original travel plan as the safety of the our group could not be granted. We contacted MB events (2 days upfront) to inform them about our cancellation and got the cold message that we still had to pay the entire amount, as written in their rules. As we did not show simply because of safety reasons , we wanted to have a discussion with them to meet each other in the middle. We understood that cancelling our trip on short notice would mean a money loss for them, but at the same time, there were certain costs which they would not have because of non-show (transport, use of materials). As we had a good reason to cancel (the area to which we were going did flood eventually), we hoped that they would understand our situation and meet us in the middle but that was not the case. We cannot even say that there was any kind of communciation. We tried calling their office 17 times and sent many e-mails (even in German) but got no reply anymore. When we did not hear anything, we decided to transfer part of the total sum as we proposed in 1 of the many e-mails. Then, the day after they immediately came back saying that the rest of the amount also had to be paid. We tried to start up the communciation again but again, nobody was answering anymore. In the end, we paid the entire amount to avoid more costs for our youth group but we feel this is very unfair. we wanted to understand their situation but MB events had totally no understanding for ours. They are a money hungry organisation which has totally no interest in other people's safety. So I would stay away of them, there are for sure better alternatives in the area.See more..

We’ve been coming to Sasbachwalden on family holidays to the Black Forest for over 30 years and iver the last four years we’ve been staying in this charming family-run hotel. The location is perfect for families because the fine open-air swimming complex and well-appointed playgrounds are just across the road. If, like us, you enjoy walking, there are several scenic trails that start at or near the Holzwurm. The Holzwurm’s rooms are rustic, comfortable and spacious, most with windows that lookout at the stunning vineyards on the hillsides all around. The owner-manager Eugen (Eugene) Oberle can’t do enough to meet his clients’ needs. Everyone who works here is friendly, efficient and relaxed. Breakfast is ample, with eggs made to order and a fine assortment of cereals, fruit, local Black Forest hams, cheeses and freshly baked breads and rolls. It’s all self-service. And if you want a drink at any time up to 10pm, you simply help yourself from a fridge well stocked with soft drinks, beers and wines. A high-end hot drinks machine serves freshly ground coffees on demand and you can help yourself to a selection of teas. Delicious Homemade cake is also available on a self-help basis. All you do is keep a note of what you consumed and settle up on departure. We have stayed here as a couple and with our children and grandchildren and have always found the Holzwurm and Sasbachwalden perfectly peaceful and relaxing , yet with lots to do if and when we want it. Ich war auf der tollen Tour mit dem Mercedes-Oldtimerbus „Sonja“ ( Bj 1963) über die Schwäbische Alb unterwegs. Sehr empfehlenswert Frühstück, Seifenmanufaktur, Wasserbüffel-Hof/Albkäse-Manufaktur, Walzmühle und wunderbarer Abschluss mit gemeinsamen Abendessen in der Traufganghütte Brunnental bei Albstadt. Während der Busfahrt viele touristische Tips vom Reiseleiter Herr Armbruster bekommen. Einfach ein sehr schöner Ausflug mit vielen Erlebnissen. Vielen Dank für die gute Organisation

Es war wirklich ein ganz tolles Erlebnis !! Der unglaublich nette Kutcher, Herr Schreijäg, fuhr uns durch Felder und Wälder des schönen Schwarzwaldes und wusste allerlei über die Natur und die Umgebung zu berichten. Ebenso großartig war seine Auffassung zum Naturschutz und der darauf basierenden Arbeit mit seinen Pferden! ein außergewöhnlich entspannender Spaziergang! Die Alpakas sind sehr sanftmütig und es ist wirklich toll, mit Ihnen spazieren zu gehen. Eine kurze Einweisung durch die sehr nette Besitzerin und schon kann es losgehen. Der Odenwald präsentiert sich von seiner schönsten Seite, jeder hat die Chance, mit "seinem" Alpaka eine Kommunikation zu finden und es fühlt sich sehr harmonisch an. Unser jüngstes Kind war 8 Jahre, das ging ganz problemlos und eigenständig. Der Weg war einfach mit geringen Steigungen auf guten Waldwegen Wer ein wenig Nähe zur Natur sucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben.See more..

Wir waren mit 6 Personen zur Eselwanderung am Hof. Klasse Einweisung vor der Wanderung und tolle Wegstrecke mit den lieben Tieren. Am Hof vieles urig und viele andere Tiere ( Schafe/ Lama/ Katze/ Hund/ Hühner & Enten). Schlafquartier in Heu = Klasse. Leckeres Frühstück mit frischem vom Hof und aus dem Dorf. Die Lamas sind wirklich goldig. Rebecca war super nett, hat sich viel Zeit genommen, alle Lamas vorgestellt und uns total viel zu ihren Gewohnheiten und Eigenheiten erklärt. Auch die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war super. Hier ist jemand wirklich mit vollem Herzen dabei! Ich kann die Lamawanderung wärmstens empfehlen.See more..

Wir hatten einen tollen Nachmittag mit den drei Eseln. Erst konnten wir sie streicheln und einfach kennenlernen und dann sind wir ca. 1,5 Stunden mit ihnen Spazieren gegangen. Am Anfang etwas den Berg hoch und dann aber mit schönem Ausblick in die Rheinebene auf dem Blütenweg entlang. "Diego" war dabei sehr entspannt, wobei die eine Eseldame doch manchmal etwas störrisch war. Aber die Besitzerin stand immer zur Seite und hat uns unterwegs mit vielen interessanten Informationen zu Eseln versorgt. Ein gelungener Nachmittag.See more..
