4.5Steinwasen Park(358 reviews) - Even Better than Europa Park Amusement & Theme Parks
After visiting the all-too-famous theme park Europa Park, we found this park even more attractive, and were happy to pick this destination for our summer vacation family trip. Much quiet and (at least feel to be) spacious than the theme park at Rust. No long queue, but a 218m-long hanging bridge. For those nature and animal lovers, there were many local and Alpine animals (such as marmot and deer). That's good enough for our family to spend one whole day.See more..

4.5Seepark(161 reviews) - Great neighborhood park Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Jogging Paths & Tracks
Located near several University of Freiburg student housing complexes, Seepark is a popular green space for students and other Freiburg residents alike. The lake has a great track running around it for walking or jogging, open lawns for sports, and a restaurant and biergarten on the west side that are great for getting lunch, dinner, or a snack. The park is also quite safe at night, being well-lit and not at all feeling suspicious or threatening. It's not at all weird to see people running around the jogging track or walking their small dog by themselves well past sunset, without any sense of uneasiness to them.See more..

4.5Park mit Allen Sinnen(118 reviews) - Such a relaxing experience Spent 1-2 hours Parks
We stopped here last week on a drive between Freiburg and Stuttgart. It was a very pleasant 2km walk barefoot on a gentle hill, with a variety of surfaces eg mud, grass, sand, pebbles, soft pine cones etc. There is a little gift shop which also sells drinks, ice cream etc, and at the end there is an area with benches and water taps to wash your feet. It was €6.50 easy for adults, which I thought was a reasonable price. It’s a few minutes away from the Rodelbahn See more..
I loved every second I walked through this garden. It’s not only botanicals, but also has a picturesque view of Lake Constance from the gazebo sitting at the top of its hill. And you literally stop to smell the roses at the rose garden where they have different kinds. My friend told me they do remove some plants like the collection of cacti they have as they update the garden by season. See more..
This park is absolutely wonderful. Even though it is very popular, it is absolutely massive, so, aside from the playground, areas are never too full. There's cafes, animals, flowers, ponds, water features, playgrounds... the perfect location to spend a warm summer's day! See more..

4.0Radon Revital Bad(89 reviews) - Our son loved it. Friday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Water Parks
We stayed a week in Menzenschwand and the visit to the Radon Revital Bath became a daily ritual. My husband and 3.5y old son would go there every morning right after opening at 10am (to avoid the crowds - we noticed how busy it was later, when we discovered the place on our first afternoon stroll the day of arrival). I have to mention that my husband doesn't speak German and still he easily managed to get around and was very happy with the place - clean, well organized, clear indications, lots of equipment for our son to swim with, and also light snacks and drinks available. The temperature of the different baths were perfect (we were here in December). And of course the setting is quite splendid, in this lovely valley of the Black Forest, far from the busy crowds.See more..

4.5Freizeitpark Traumland(83 reviews) - Great theme park for kids 4-9 Amusement & Theme Parks
Went twice within a week and spent close to 3 hours each time - probably tells you more than anything else I could write. Lots of fun rides clearly geared to younger kids, although some like Steinschleuder and Komet do have some thrill to it. Good food options at quite reasonable prices. The ticket prices are not exactly cheap, but considering the large selection of rides absolutely reasonable.See more..

4.5The Little Folk's Trail(78 reviews) - Fun trail with a story and cute statues and decorations Amusement & Theme Parks
The trail is fairly easy to walk. There is a story at the start of the trail in several languages. Alongbthe trail there are stops with statues of the characters and backdrops that match a page in the story. I quite liked the fairytale atmosphere of these stops, and the kids liked having something extra to the walk as well. Though i don't think they listened to the story much. All in all, it was very enjoyable, and had the extra something to make city kids like walking in nature. See more..

4.0Baumkronenweg Waldkirch(73 reviews) - Good opportunity to appreciate nature Spent 1-2 hours Amusement & Theme Parks
We walked up the path on a beautiful warm day. Tip 1 - take water Tip 2- wear comfy shoes. The walk took about 45 minutes and there are a few intersting stop off points for the children to read and find out information. When you reach the top there are basic toilet facilites, picnic benches and a small park. You then pay to go onto the park itself - it was interesting and we had beautiful views although I had it in my head it would have been longer but when you look at the construction I can full appreciate why it is the length it is. There is a tree trekking course our children started it but turned back as it was moving too slowly. Our children aged 10 and 12 paid 2euro each to take the slide down and they loved it - that was the highlight of their visit. Worth a visit and the walk up although it got the heart pumping and legs burning, it was worth it.See more..

We were visiting this park by night, which was a totally new experience! We were equipped with headlamps and several colorful light spots were placed around the parcours, which created a totally cool atmosphere!
