    For my money the greatest attraction in Karlsruhe is the wonderful opera house. Architecturally not everyone's fancy but acoustically marvellous! Yet the house does not even get a mention on Karlruhe's attractions - perhaps the good towns' people want to keep this particular treasure to themselves. Whilst on a stop over I had a brilliant evening at the Karlsruhe opera house and often look at the company's repetoire on the Operabase website when I am at home. Their programme and wide range of productions would be the envy of many a more famous company. Compliments to all involved.
