I had been going for a walk in downtown Balingen, which is quite lovely with many stores and upscale shops, when i came across Baren's and stopped in. I was impressed with the old pub style atmosphere and had a nice conversation with the owner/bartender Jet. I had a couple beers and was was quite happy to have found this place. I really hate judging a restaurant poorly, but this one was a real disappointment. Our family has been visiting all the Mexican restaurants in the area and this one was pretty lame. We were the only people the whole time we were there for almost 90 minutes outside of this one older gentleman who went to the bar for a drink. The waitress was extremely friendly and sweet, but that didn't compensate for the fact that our food took an hour to get to the table and when it did finally get there, it was just okay.
