4.5Alpirsbacher Klosterbraeu(98 reviews) - A refreshing stop on the Schwarzwald-Hochstrasse Breweries
A former monastery where monks began brewing beer in the middle ages. Johann Gottfried Glauner re-opened the Klosterbrau in 1877, operated today by fourth generation Glauners. Vivien was very knowledgeable about the beer-making process and funny at the same time. The tasting wasn’t a tasting, it was two glasses of the beers of our choice – all of it good-tasting. This isn’t just a tourist stop. Locals were in the tasting room kibitzing. Fun time and we got a souvenir mug to boot.See more..
4.5Hopfengut N°20(62 reviews) - Very interesting at harvest time Friday: 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums • Breweries
Visit this place at harvest time. Excellent explanations by friendly guide about hop growth and the historic background. To see the machines working at harvest time (only 3 weeks in September every year!) makes the visit unforgettable. Highly recommended!See more..
I visited Baden Wartenberg in 2015 for work and had numerous chances to visit Berg brewery. Each time I stayed for some excellent German food served up comfort food style. The beer is absolutely top notch and represent the traditional German brewing methods in its purity. It shows, and the beer cellar is absolute heaven. Cold walkin; cases, 2L bottles, 5&20L kegs and also available old fashioned wooden 20L kegs with rentable tapping equipment ala hammer and brass tap. I haven't yet snagged one of those wooden kegs, but it is a goal to return someday for one. See more..

4.5Brauwerk Freistil(3 reviews) - Relax Where The Two Rovers Meet Friday: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Breweries
My wife and I came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon while waiting for our punting excursion on the Neckar River. We wanted to be sure we were not late for that and we wanted to be sure we were well hydrated with some great beer and tasty wine. The location is perfect and one can enjoy river views as the two rivers come together. It is also perfect for kids as there is plenty to play with on the sandy areas. I had two bottles of their homemade brew which was wonderful while my had a couple of glasses of Absolute Dry Riesling. All in all a perfect place to relax. Food is also available from Zum Alee, offering French fries, meat and cheese pies, and more.See more..
5.0Haller Loewenbrauerei(3 reviews) - Best Beer in Schwabisch Hall! Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
Haller Löwenbrauerei is a regional brew haus that originally was located in another area of Schwabisch Hall. As they expanded, they moved to this location. Haller Lowenbrau makes a variety of beers serving the region, and is very proud of their history and heritage. Our tour guide was very informative and personable, and spoke English very well. We were able to understand more about the beer we enjoyed drinking, from the Pilsner, to the summer seasonal, to the Mohrenkopfle, which became one of our fast favorites! We were also able to do some sampling "vom fass" (direct from the storage tank tap) and also received a .33 liter Haller Lowenbrau glass as a token souvenir! I would highly recommend the tour on a rainy or sunny day as it doesn't take that long and is well worth your time. You can order this brew at any local restaurant or the Biergarten. Thank you for an amazing tour!See more..
