This Bridge originates mostly from the year 1700. It is a pedestrian (and bike) only bridge. Usually it is fun just to cross over to Switzerland (or Germany depending which side you are coming from). Right now regulations will not allow that, but you can still walk a bit to the middle section where a statue is standing opposite of a little turret where the brige's history is outlined. The bridge is about 204 m long. See more..

Impressive suspension bridge above Bad Wildbad over the valley. It's high, and not for the fainthearted on a windy day! It's a bit expensive but a real feat of engineering so I decided it was worth it. Fantastic views if you can make yourself stand still long enough to appreciate them :). See more..
  4. 4.5 Passerelle Mimram (77 reviews)
    - One foot in France and the other in Germany!

What a lovely bridge with a magnificent view up and down the Rhine river. We could see our Viking River ship docked just down the river. This bridge has seen past leaders meet and greet from both sides. The bridge is designed for people only - bikers, walkers, runners, etc. The bridge for cars and trucks is further down. When you stand at the center point you have one foot in France and one in Germany!! See more..

    Three Countries Bridge image
First time here, and first time standing on a bridge that links three countries. Weather wasn't helpful, so for good pictures wasn't so good. But if you are into landscaping photography than I do recommend it, especially if the sky is clear during the day, and at night seems also good for night photography. See more..
  6. 4.0 Hängebrücke Uber die Argen (48 reviews)
    - Suspension Bridge across the River Argen…
    Spent < 1 hour Bridges
    Hängebrücke Uber die Argen image
When constructing a new bridge to cross the river Argen, someone made the right decision to keep the old one, located right next to it. It is a really beautiful piece of architecture that serves today as a public bicycle and pedestrian crossing. There is free parking available next to the bridge. You can stop here for a short photo session or start a hiking tour along the river from here. It is very easy to find. When you drive on the L334 country road from Langenargen to Kressbronn you cross the river Argen. The old suspension bridge runs parallel and very near to the modern bridge. It is visible from the country road and therefore impossible to miss. Othmar Herrmann Ammann from Switzerland, who later designed the George-Washington-Bridge in New York City and served as an advisor in the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, worked here as an intern with the constructing company, while studying at university in 1896/97. - Spectacular views

Parked at the museum as had read another review on how to find the bridge. Walked down past a cafe and followed our noses as no clear sign to tell you which way to go. But pleased to say continued until we arrived at bridge then onwards to the caves. Sturdy shoes or boots are advised as a lot of climbing up and down quite steep steps. However well worth it as the views were spectacular. Well worth the visit. See more..

A bridge that connects the Swiss and the German part of Laufenburg. I walked from the Station of Laufenburg, Swiss, stepped on the bridge, took a rest in the mid of the bridge (on a bench there), and went onto the land of Germany. No guard, no officer of customs, quite an interesting experience! I met no more than 30 people (tourists and residents) in both parts of the town. A quiet and peace place. See more..
