I truly enjoyed the well cared for animals and the cages were clean, the animals looked healthy and in a stress free environment. The zoo had a meandering sense and was a relaxing and enjoyable outing. The botanical gardens were a highlight and the paths thru the park to see all the different animals and gardens very enjoyable. Very good time for all ages and places to stop and picnic or take a break to enjoy food or ice cream. Recommend getting a ticket on line the park has a certain amount they let in otherwise they ask you to come back after 3pm. I'm a gardener, so this was a destination, and a worthwhile one. It's really a teaching garden (there was a class of horticultural students there while I was visiting), but it's also beautiful. And the cost is certainly right (free). Even for non-gardeners it would be worth a visit if you are already visiting the old town in Weinheim, since it is very close by. A previous reviewer mentioned that this garden shows how 'prairie' gardening should be done. That showed up in the selection of plants - for example, things like Amsonias and Baptisias, which are native to North America but really aren't used all that much in gardens here. It's worthwhile for North Americans to visit this garden just to get ideas for what can be used in our own gardens. I loved every second I walked through this garden. It’s not only botanicals, but also has a picturesque view of Lake Constance from the gazebo sitting at the top of its hill. And you literally stop to smell the roses at the rose garden where they have different kinds. Der Schillerplatz ist ein kleiner Platz im Zentrum eines Kreisverkehrs in der Offenburger Oststadt. Der Platz wurde im Jahr 1899 errichtet und ist namens gebend für das heutige Schiller Gymnasium, welches sich am rande des Platzes befindet. Der eigentliche Platz besteht aus einem Brunnen, um den herum Bänke stehen und ist somit ziemlich unspektakulär.
