2.5JR Discount Outlet(31 reviews) - Not the same Saturday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Factory Outlets

We went to see a movie at Ovation Cinema last week. We sat in the second row and found it quite comfortable. The chairs are very nice and the sound level of the movie itself was good. The previews beforehand were extremely loud. The food was average, but very expensive. Between the two of us, we had a hamburger, a chicken sandwich, a beer and a glass of wine and it was over $50. Plus the gratuity is included, which should be clarified when it is not too dark to read the receipt. We went on a Tuesday, because tickets are supposed to be $5 each (actually are $5.34 each). It is recommended that you buy in advance, so we did that and found we also had to pay a $3 fee. The theater, however, is really lovely. We had no problems with the service.See more..
2.5Regal White Oak Stadium 14(25 reviews) - It's a roadside motel Saturday: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters
Solo traveler. Good location to get food nearby. It's next to the interstate so its convenient. Room was updated but the top blanket was not in best condition with holes in it. Most likely cigarette burns. Also moisture and humidity in the morning made the floors slick and I didn't adjust the temperature since it was fine at check in. Decent option for a pitstop.See more..

I've been around town for a couple years now, and this is our go to spot. We're middle of the road golfers and this is the best course around. Friendly staff, cold beer, and the bloody mary's have a nice kick to them! Come on warm weather!See more..
As in previous reviewer, there on Friday at 6:30 and deserted. Nice atmosphere, despite being empty couldn't get drink refills. Food came out without fries on the side and three small pieces of fish were almost gone before they arrived. Portions were lunch sized but dinner priced and food marginal. Could have had better fish at Long John Silvers. See more..
2.5Challenger 3 Fun Zone(3 reviews) - Great par three! Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses • Game & Entertainment Centers • Miniature Golf
Only played the chip and putt with my son. Mixture of holes between 100 and 140 yards. Pretty basic layout but fun all the same. Greens were okay with a few weeds trying to grow. The price for 18 holes seems a little steep at $14 a player....but we really enjoyed it. We played three balls a hole.See more..
2.5Funtasticks(3 reviews) - Great visit for Labor Day Game & Entertainment Centers
They have cleaned up a lot from the previous owners. The people are very nice and helpful. The miniature golf courses could still use some work and cleaning but overall fun place.See more..
This is North Carolina's monument dedicated to the birthplace of the 7th president- who knows if its true, but it is a really nice spot. Located on a rural cul-de-sac= it is quite peaceful. a little bench allows one to sit in the area, and interested in presidential history- give it a quick stop, snap some photos.See more..
2.5A Treasure Alley(3 reviews) - nice for a thrift store Antique Shops • Flea & Street Markets
This place was much better than many thrift stores we have gone to. It was clean and mostly uncluttered. The people working inside were very friendly. I didn't see one broken/dirty toy at all and this isn't something you can usually say about a thrift store. It used to be a bank and there is still a fantastic safe inside. I was trying to peek inside when a worker noticed and opened the safe door for me so I could go inside. You can find vintage/costume jewelry, clean unbroken toys, furniture, some antiques, glassware, household items and much more.See more..
We were visiting the area and on our back to the hotel, we drove passed Legends and it has a sign that says they have the best wings. So, we stopped and ordered wings. Maybe there aren't many wing places in the area, but for us, the wings were a big miss. Maybe an off night for the cook? If we are in the area again, not sure we would stop by again.See more..
2.5Oxford Downtown Mall(2 reviews) - a little bit of everything Spent 1-2 hours Flea & Street Markets
Walking in I was surprised to see that they offered a little bit of everything. They have antiques, collectibles, baby clothes, womens clothes, mens clothes, jewelry, toys, and new items. It's a large 2-story building and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.See more..

Check in was easy and fast. Nice layout and apparently a well regarded restaurant (sandwich at the turn was good) with plenty of outdoor seating. The have a fairly nice practice green with a lot of slope toward the water which was an introduction to things to come. Other practice facilities almost non-existent. The have mats and nets for short game and full swing warmup. In general a fun course with lots of ups and downs, lots of variety between holes, and short par 3s and 5s made low scores possible. But the greens were another thing. They were not in terrible shape and were not overly quick but they were quite sloped. Probably designed for about 8 on the stimpmeter and were running at least 10.... unplayable. Right out of the starting gate - it was impossible to stop the ball within 10 feet of the hole on the first green. Continued on the second. And several others. Made for a frustrating round of golf. It had sparse early season grass which is to be expected. One of the bunkers had gone to seed and apparently been taken over as geese habitat, probably should have been marked as ground under repair. Cart paths were okay but definitely some areas with deferred maintenance.See more..

2.0Kannapolis Recreation Park(1 review) - family Spent More than 3 hours Water Parks Large swimming pool, Two kiddie pools, put-put golf, two open water slides, picnic shelter, video game arcade, birthday parties, pool parties, family get-together, school/day care outdoor activity days, and much more.See more..
2.0Hops and Hogs Festival(1 review) - Money Grab Music Festivals • Food & Drink Festivals Not very well organized event. Expect to wait in a line a traffic for an hour or more just to parking in a grass field that they charge you $20 just for the 'privilege' of doing. Then expect to wait in line for another 15 minutes just to get in. Over priced food with meager portions. Bands were washed up, twangy 90's bands, several just sound like they're screaming. Even the layout of the stage and where the crowd was positioned was weird. Had to watch off to the side. Over priced money grab. Disappointing because the venue has real potential.See more..
2.0GlenMarie Vineyards & Winery(1 review) - Not really worth the trip Wineries & Vineyards I'm not sure if this winery is still open since I could no longer access their website. We were doing the Haw River Wine trail one day and this one was on the list and by the time we had driven this far, we decided to stop. We pulled up in the yard at the house, which is the tasting room, and the owners seemed to be having a picnic on the terrace. We felt sort of like we were interrupting their dinner by being there, but we did have a tasting and the wines were OK, not the best, but not awful either.See more..
