Fun day and great personnel. If you need an instructor, Skip was a great guy. He showed my wife how to shoot a long gun and she ended up hitting three in a row! Thank you for a memorable experience! See more..

  3. 5.0 Eagle Gun and Range (17 reviews)
    - Great Range and Knowledgeable Attentive Staff
    Shooting Ranges
    Eagle Gun and Range image
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The Range Officer is attentive. I just renewed my membership there for the second year! As I'm very local to the Range, I tend to go more during the week (as on a Saturday it is like a zoo)! You can rent firearms there if you don't have your own OR if you want to try out a particular one - they have both handguns and long-guns to rent. Note: If you do rent, you will have to purchase and use their ammo. For those of you wanting to shoot shotgun, they do allow this, but you have to shoot slugs (no shot allowed). I've never purchased a firearm from Eagle, but their prices seem very reasonable (they don't gouge). My friend purchased a G19X at a very reasonable price last year and said the process was very simple and straightforward! (Note: Indoor Range only) See more..

Incredible Location and world class training and recreation facility. This place is fantastic for Sporting Clays AND the handgun and long gun ranges are spacious, feature world class trainers and target setups. The club offers overnight accommodations, food, and a well stocked pro shop. The hill top views at the clubhouse are some of the best local views of the countryside. This is definitely the highest quality shooting club in the area! See more..
  5. 4.0 Flintlock Shooting Range (11 reviews)
    - Best $3 I ever spent
    Spent 1-2 hours Shooting Ranges
    Flintlock Shooting Range image
Like some reviewers have said there lots of rules, but every range has rules. The ranger was helpful and pleasant. You are outdoors so you don't have a lot of refinements like some of the high class climate-controlled "Yuppy" ranges that are doing everything but serve chai tea. But you aren't paying $29 an hour either, or having them inspect your ammunition so they can sell you their own high-priced stuff. You spend $3 for your wrist band at one of the stores on the way in, go through your rules orientation at the range and shoot all day. The mix of people makes the rules orientation a necessity to assure the shooter with an assault rifle keeps the business end of the muzzle pointing where it is supposed to be. Yeah, the orientation IS annoying to an experienced shooter, but a temporary annoyance is better than dodging lead. So, three bucks for a day at a SAFE range in the outdoors ain't a bad deal. 6. 3.5 Shooters Express (9 reviews)
    - Down comes my target.......
    Spent 1-2 hours Shooting Ranges
    Shooters Express image
Was having a great time at the range till.... A round drifted high after hitting target and sheared the rope holding target. Costing me a whopping 15 bucks. As I would imagine this happens all the time. Had to suck it up and pay the money to repair it. Couldnt let that spoil my day. We ended up meeting different people while shooting. Also had fun with the Range Masters. Overall we had a great time and I would definitely be returning to this range. Just have to make sure target is low enough. So I'm not paying another 15 bucks. Lol See more..
  7. 5.0 Deep River Sporting Clays (8 reviews)
    - Southern Side by Side Championship - As good as it gets
    Shooting Ranges
I have been coming here for the Southern Side by Side Championship and Exibition for at least fifteen years now and I have yet to be disappointed. This is one of the premere old time side by side only shotgun matches on the East Coast. The vendor tents have some of the nicest examples of the gunmakers art to be found anywhere and you will see just as many out on the course being enjoyed by competitors. This is a championship after all and the course is set to be a good test of shotgunning skills. You best bring your "A game" if you expect to be in the money. The hosts and staff are firendly and helpful and work hard so you can have a good time. It is best to book a hotel well in advance if you plan to go and stay at least two days to get everything in. Older shooters may want to rent a golf cart to help get around. It is a good walk getting around the course. Bring your SxS and give it a go. See more..
  8. 5.0 John Lentz Hunter Education Complex (6 reviews)
    - Good firearms/archery range
    Spent 1-2 hours Shooting Ranges

–The rifle and pistol ranges are free to users (hunters pay for these state ranges through hunting licenses). –The three, nice shotgun ranges are different and $3 for 25 clays (they only accept payment by credit card). These ranges can deploy clays by wireless push-button or by voice (which allow you shoot solo). –There is a large archery range but I don't know what it costs users, if anything. See more..
  9. 4.0 Shane's Sporting Clays (5 reviews)
    - Excellent Lesson for My Grandson
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Shooting Ranges
My 12 year old grandson recently visited me and I was looking for a place for him to get gun safety training and have an opportunity to shoot. I contacted Shane's and made an appointment for my grandson to get a lesson. We went to Shane's where we met Grant who is a competitive shooter. Grant was great. He immediately connected with my grandson. After a safety lesson, Grant had my grandson hitting clay targets. My grandson loved his time at Shanes and looks forward to going again. See more..
  10. 5.0 Point Blank Range (5 reviews)
    - Best indoor range ever

Went to this place on recommendations from coworkers. Wow!! The staff was awesome and immediately there when you needed them. The Target mounts are automated and turn 360. You program your target measurement in feet. All programming is done by touchscreen. Safety video and waiver are required. Should you bring your own firearm, shotguns are restricted to Slugs only. They officer beginner to advanced courses, as well as the Concealed Handgun Course mandated by NC state law to obtain your permit. I was impressed to the point that I signed up for the state mandated class which is still pending at the time of this review. Definitely found my range of choice. See more..

  14. 5.0 Wake County Firearms Education & Training Center (2 reviews)
    - Excellent safety and staff!
    Shooting Ranges
I own a firearm I had not shot in years, so I felt I should get to the range to refamiliarize myself with it. We arrived a little late and missed the beginning of the scheduled safety briefing. The staff was amazing and helped us to get the briefing done anyway, so we were able to join in at the appointed time without stalling the others who had appointments on the range. They have very good rules that help keep everyone safe while still having a good time. There is no charge to use the range. You just have to bring your own weapon(s), ammo and targets. Also, since I was refamiliarizing myself with the gun, I greatly appreciated the help of one of the safety officers there. He showed me a really good and safe way to hold the gun that I had not tried before. My husband and I had a blast (no pun intended), and we will be back! See more..

Friendly, polite people working the range. Well maintained. Nothing fancy or elaborate, but everything was in good working order. The attendants made sure that all of the throwers stayed stocked with clays. Five of us shot together and none of us experienced any issues. $19 for 100 clays. See more..
