    What a sweet & special landmark this is. Thank you to all of the people who are cultivating and maintaining this beautiful garden walk. We visited during the time of the “Bunnies on the Bridge” theme for Easter, so my kids were delighted to wander and hunt for all the hidden Easter eggs while I was free to stroll and snap photos of the many cute decorations & flowers. They were so excited that they found over 80 eggs total! The bridge is full of whimsy that will charm all ages both young & old, and reminded me so much of my late grandmother. She loved things just like this, and I wish she could have seen it with me! It’s also a wonderful spot to enjoy views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Be sure to check it out if you’re visiting Chimney Rock or Lake Lure. Open 24/7 year-round, with plenty of free parking. I’d absolutely return again & again anytime we are visiting the area.     This is a great side trip. About 15 minutes off the interstate, this is a great way to step back in time. The bridge has a small parking area with some well maintained picnic tables. The sound of the stream under the bridge is so relaxing that it is a welcome calm to just sit and relax. There is a nice nature train that takes you over the bridge. They also have steps to go down and wade is the water around the bridge, you can also wade on the trail. This is a great way to spend and hour or two and just decompress. The one thing we noticed is that vandals have painted graffiti on almost every inch inside the bridge. It is unfortunate that people would disrespect such a great old landmark (It's just sad). We will be back with a lunch for a great picnic. See more..

    GPS sent us astray but we got there following some signs. The very old covered bridge is neat to look at but many immature and unsupervised people found it necessary to write and paint inside the bridge. Practically every surface is covered. So annoying. The grounds are very nice with a little bubbling creek. Nice area with tables for a picnic and a good spot to wade in and cool off. See more..
