Many artists took the time to stop their work to talk about it and answer questions about the district. Very genuine and authentic!     A pleasure to visit Wilmington and the Waterfront in early June 2022. We enjoyed walking the historic downtown, taking a riverboat tour and having lunch just a block off the water. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of construction going on - good for Wilmington, keeping up the infrastructure - but this closed parts of the boardwalk and sidewalks which impacted our experience. We only had a few hours to visit, but glad we did. Hope to plan a return visit in the future. See more..

    We absolutely loved Mayberry!!! So many shops to check out and the people are so friendly. We met a Barney Fife look a like and even got our picture taken with an alpaca. You can take a ride in an old squad car through the town or even try one of the moonshine ice cream shakes (although we didn't care for it). It was a bit crowded and parking looked like a nightmare but we parked at the Andy Griffith Museum and walked through the town. If you love that small town feel then you definitely want to make a visit here! See more..

    Wonderful revamped downtown. Quaint, old time look with beautiful window boxes, potted plants and inviting store windows. Love the varrity of shopping, relaxing sidewalk coffee shops, dining and art. Melville Trading Company has everything Events like First Thursday, festivals, farmers market and arts and crafts classes offered are great. If you live in Alamance County or surrounding areas you'll enjoy a visit to downtown Mebane. See more..

    This is a great display of animated lights synced to music being broadcast over FM. They have video animations, one on the large Christmas tree out front and then several panels on top of the house. The mix of music is great. There is a genre for everyone.
