4.5Basilica of Saint Lawrence(1.217 reviews) - Awe inspiring no matter if religious or not. A must see! Churches & Cathedrals
No matter your religious belief, this is a must see when in Ashville. The architecture and history will amaze you. I am Baptist and felt an enormous sense of awe while there. The "tour guide" was exceptionally knowledgeable. We learned a lot today. It is free, but please leave a donation. They need $15million to repair water damage and leaks. Not an easy task. No one is pressuring you for $ there, but a little tidbit I know. This is history and architecture worth saving.See more..
I enjoy this church very much. I am grateful for the online worship and ministry as well. NOT every church is for every person but I have never been disrespected nor telephonically harassed by any person from Elevation Church. I know others who attend online and they enjoy Elevation Ministry for years. Pastor Furtick-- just keep on preaching and teaching.See more..
4.5The Chapel of the Cross(11 reviews) - Chapel of the Cross Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
Though we are Roman Catholics we visit this wonderful chapel every time we we are in Chapel Hill. The building is amazing, not only from the outside but also from inside. Most of all however we like the very kind priest and all the people in the chuch who always invite us to join their service.See more..

5.0Mount Zion Baptist Historical Church & Cemetery(2 reviews) - Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church: Cultural Hub of Community Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Cemeteries • Churches & Cathedrals
Amazing times at this church for homecomings, Sunday school, and regular services. A church that continues to reflect the family values and hard work of its community. Pastor Nolan and First Lady J. continue to carry on this tradition. They have fortified the foundation of the building and brought beauty into this area once again. Oh, and Pastor Nolan has very inspirational sermons taken directly from the Bible. . .Come see for yourself. They have services every 2nd and 4th Sunday.See more..
5.0New Life Church(1 review) - One will leave moved, awake and contemplative. Spent 1-2 hours Churches & Cathedrals The single most striking thing was the racial mix of the congregation-almost 50% non-white and 50% white. There was a very nice balance of music and reading of scripture. As a result, one was going to leave moved, awake and contemplative of what was just said. I attended the Christmas Candlelight service which was charming, uplifting and joyful.See more..
