  1. 4.5 Hickory Crawdads / L.P. Frans Stadium (166 reviews)
    - Well designed stadium

Hickory Crawdads / L.P. Frans Stadium image
Few things better than baseball on a summer evening. LP Frans Stadium is a fine minor league park; there's not a bad seat there. Extra netting to protect fans is a great addition. Many nights there are long lines at the concessions, especially when only one (typically on the 3rd base side) is open. See more..
  2. 4.5 The Climbing Place (25 reviews)
    - Climb on!

    The Climbing Place image
I have visited climbing gyms all over the country and The Climbing Place in Fayetteville is outstanding! Most of the staff is nice and helpful. There was one, typical to these types of business, employee who walks around with a chip on her shoulder because she can perform a few acrobatic and climbing tricks. Personally, I was not impressed and would be happy to invite the "princess" to enjoy a "three-day" climbing and "bivi" up the nose route of El Cap! While she seemed to be annoyed by the numerous kids enjoying the gym, someone should remind her it is most likely the parents of those kids who foot the bill to keep the lights on at the gym. In summary, The Climbing Place is an excellent gym good for advanced climbers, beginners, or any other person seeking an alternate to their normal workout routine See more..

Triangle Rock Club - Morrisville image
I first visited Triangle Rock Club as a kid and I have now been on their competitive team ( Team TRC ) for a few years. I love the facility, the classic side is better for new climbers and the expansion is better for more experienced climbers. The classic side has 24 foot top rope walls and auto belays throughout. The boulder walls are 12 feet tall, and they have always had appropriate padding. The expansion has taller walls from 35 to 55 feet. I personally love the expansion because of the lead area. The lead area has a cave, vertical walls, and walls with small indents in them. The bouldering in the expansion is awesome! The walls are 16 feet tall with slab climbing, overhanging, and a systems wall. I cannot put i See more..

We had a great time seeing a ballgame here. Basically all the players have played in MLB which makes for great competition. They had a large selection of food and drinks. The funnel fries are a must. The only thing I can suggest is a little more interaction with the crowd. See more..

  13. 5.0 Flaherty Park Community Center (3 reviews)
    - Nice Facility
    Sports Complexes
I've taken numerous painting classes at the Flaherty Park Community Center. It is a well kept building that has a large gymnasium. Then there is an arts room, a small kitchen, and another room. It is on the smaller side but seems to meet the needs of the community. The gym gets a lot of use from those who want to play basketball and The town parks and recreation has a lot of art classes for kids and adults here. Remember to turn into the community center parking lot and not the Flaherty Park entrance so that you can park near the building. Flaherty Park is near the Flaherty Park Community Center. The park offers a great place for kids and adults to be active with the playground, tennis courts, baseball fields, and a no leash dog park. This is a nice venue to use in the community. See more..

It was designed for both local use and as a venue for out of town youth teams in competition play thereby increasing tourism revenue for the town. Went to a game a couple of months ago to watch my wife's grandson play. Facilities are nice and well maintained and made for an enjoyable evening particulary in light of the fact that his team won. Good place for an enjoyable evening See more..

Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Sports Complexes
We participated in a pickleball clinic held by their certified instructors. Huge building with indoor tennis courts, pro shop, etc. The pickleball courts were nice with fencing and good court separation. They have lighting for night use. This intermediate clinic had one instructor for four students and rotated through four courts offering different skills at each station. Great format and excellent instruction. They offer different membership options as well as non-member options for play. See more..
