THE most beautiful campus I've ever seen. We were on a road trip, but since we had our high school kids with us, we stopped at most universities along the way just so they could get a glimpse of different campuses. Duke University was by far the most beautiful one. The architecture, the grounds, everything is amazing. We were there during the Christmas holidays so the book store was closed, but we were still able to buy some gear at another shop in town. Would definitely recommend a visit. See more..

I walked around the campus of the University of North Carolina for a couple of hours in June 2021. It is a beautiful campus with very interesting architecture. I enjoyed seeing from the outside the Bell Tower, the Wilson Library, Moorhead Planetarium, the Old Well and other buildings and taking some photos. The architecture with Greek columns on some buildings was very interesting. It was not very busy because school was out for the summer. My advice during the summer would be to stick to the campus as Franklin Street (the main street with shops and restaurants near the campus) had some annoying homeless people on it and I felt uncomfortable. Perhaps it is different during the school year. In summary, I really enjoyed my walk around campus for a couple of hours. My only disappointment was that the Wilson Library was closed due to COVID19 as I had wanted to go inside and view some old book collections. See more..

the lawn is perfectly maintained and the buildings have a history behind them. the greenway goes behind the buildings leading to a beautiful lake where people fish, exercise, and simply enjoy the scenery. love also the new buildings on the centennial campus and the many beautiful libraries See more..

Yes, the museum features the history of tobacco farming, but it's much more. You travel back to the 1930s and learn about a simpler way of life. Although I don't smoke or condone it, I enjoyed this museum. See more..

We stayed at the inn at Elon and discovered the most beautiful campus we’ve ever seen . The grounds have beautiful old buildings and some new buildings that match the older decor along with gardens , and duck pond . Worth exploring even if not coming for kids in university See more..
