This event was “much bigger and better than I thought it would be!” Amazing colors and lights create a totally immersive experience. Very creative and imaginative lanterns, themes, lighting and fabrics used to create the lanterns. Several clever interactive stations such as smoke bubbles, smoke ring cannon and a kaleidoscope tunnel that makes you think you’re tilting. There’s Chinese lanterns of all kinds of themes, from dragons and peacocks and huge gates to playful pandas and even dinosaurs…truly something of wonder for every age. Excellent snacks…make sure to get the freshly made donut holes! Cool souvenirs that are reasonably priced. Great parking that’s close and included in the ticket price. Excellent traffic control. 3. 5.0 Piper Lights (1 review)
    - 2016 Winner of ABC-TV's "The Great Christmas Light Fight"
    Saturday: 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Cultural Events
Piper Lights is a local, family-run Christmas light display. They started with a tiny manger scene 30 years ago and they now feature 7 acres of lights. It features a drive-through light display, a free train ride through the lights, an old-fashioned candy store, and Santa. The family's display appeared on ABC's season premiere of "The Great Christmas Light Fight" on Dec. 5, 2016, and won the Piper family $50,000 and a trophy shaped like a giant Christmas light. This attraction draws large crowds, and there can be a wait for the train on busy nights. The train is small and can be a little cramped for adults, especially if you try to sit two-abreast. Traffic can be heavy and is one-way. They are open daily starting November 29, 2019 through January 2, 2020. The Christmas lights are on 7 days a week on Sunday-Thursday from 5:30-9pm, Friday and Saturday from 5:30-10:00. The store, Santa and train will only run until December 24th, after that it will be drive-through only. Admission, Santa, and the train are always free, but donations are accepted. This event is not a business but just a family who wants to share the joys of the season with the community. All donations go to light repairs and the electric bill. The candy store is cash-only, and tips for train drivers are accepted. See more..
