  2. 4.5 Sun Peaks (1.221 reviews)
    - We've been here twice and will be back again!
Spent More than 3 hours Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Sun Peaks image
Sun Peaks is a beautiful ski resort and we ski here regularly, having found that the terrain is suitable for all the family- from the novice to the expert who wants to ski off piste all day. There are areas for all skiers or snowboarders, a terrain park and Sun Peaks is less busy than Whistler, Three Valleys, Haute Savoie. A new faster chair lift has been installed since our last pre-Covid trip, and now RFID passes, which can be bought online and auto topped up. The ski/snowboard school is helpful and friendly. There are several places to stop for lunch including the Sunburst Lodge (top of Sunburst Lift) & Masas Grill & the Annexe (bottom of main lifts), or walk into the village for Oya (authentic and amazing Japanese). Our suggestion... buy your lift passes in advance! If you buy an adult pass on the day it is $136... This seems expensive given that a Whistler adult day pass is $153 and Sun Peaks is now more expensive than Europe! In advance the Sun Peaks adult pass comes down to $82. If you are planning winter skiing and summer hiking, then definitely buy a season's pass. The pass gives you a discount (outside of peak) to ski other BC resorts. Overall, Sun Peaks is a lovely place to ski/snowboard, however not inexpensive! See more..

    Bella Coola Heli Sports image
Originally booked in Mystery, but changed short notice to Terra Nostra due to operational issues. It worked out fine. The lodge is very good, with excellent facilities, food and service. The guiding (Klemens and Ian) was really good - as we were 4 boarders we were perfectly accommodated with challenging tree terrain plus some fast and steeper alpine (no walking...). Had one down day but plenty to do (ask for Sparkles) and we appreciated the fresh snow afterwards. 24 hours from Powder to front door (London) was convenient too! See more..
  12. 4.5 Peak to Creek (164 reviews)
    - Great intermediate run from top to bottom
    Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Peak to Creek image
I was recommended this run by a very friendly local skier one day whilst on the Peak lift. The whole run will take you from Whistler Peak down to Creekside village, however if you want to return to Whistler Village you can veer off onto Highway 86 from Peak to Creek. This is a blue run, with some steeper sections. It is worth it for the stunning views. I did hear a wife telling her husband off on the way down as it was harder than anticipated for her. A really nice long, meandering run from top to bottom. See more..

we loved being close to hiking and walking trails. Even though the restaurants were not running as usual because of Covid , we found the breakfast was excellent. We found the room in the lodge a bit noisy from doors closing etc. It was a clean average room, but served our purpose of just a one nighter on our road trip. The staff were all friendly and really doing the right sanitation for the restaurant and check in. See more..

I've been to other bigger, better known cat and heli ski operations, and none does a better job of giving guests a great time than White Grizzly. It's my kind of place - small and intimate, homey not glitzy. The terrain is the best I've found - steep and treed, with some open lines and pillows of all shapes and sizes for those who like to huck. The accommodations are rustically comfy; the food is delicious and plentiful, served at a communal table perfect for making new friends and building deeper connections with those you already know.
