I love shopping here. The atmosphere is inviting, friendly, and someone is always available for a chat and a coffee, pop, ice cream. There are great items for every day, and my favourites are the antiques! Great variety, prices, and really something for almost everyone. The shop keeper and owner are kind, attentive, patient and helpful. I love every item I have purchased, and will return again and again. Great for campers, andvacationers too, with gold panning items, and tools of all sorts. See more..

Daughter and I visited Le Shed twice during our 3-night recent stay in Hope. We found the shop initially during our first early-morning walkabout, it looked cool, we noted the business hours, and returned later to see what it was all about. That first visit was not enough, we went back again the next day, to catch a little more of the sights, and the enjoyment we had talking with the warm and friendly owner/host. On the shop’s business card, it states offerings of “Old things, and odds & ends”, and for such a small place, really does offer a very decent, and wide-selection of both, with several of the items (old, vintage, and ‘newer’) brought in and sold via consignment. In the new stuff category, the shop carries a range of ‘FAT Paint’ products (paints, waxes) — a brand of chalk-style paint for artisans — which can be used to transform old furniture, glass products, and almost anything into works of up-cycled art. I am not sure how one is supposed to shop at such a place. I guess if seeking a specific item, or having some kind of product in mind, you might seek the owner, and ask. For us though, it was basically a walk about the shop, browsing and checking out all the sights, zeroing in on anything we found of particular interest — then seeking information and price from the owner. Neither daughter or I had anything specific in mind when we dropped into the shop - we basically just wanted to take a good look, and immerse ourselves in the lovely ambiance of the place for a while. That said, we did find something to capture, and take home as small remembrances of our visits. We were sure happy to have found Le Shed, and meet Cindy, the owner. Her fine little place will be at the top of where we wish to return when back to Hope again. And we will ensure Mom is with us for that upcoming visit to her place!! See more..

I went into The Handpicked Home for the first time today and was very glad I did. It's a wonderful and much needed addition to White Rock. The shop has a great selection of unique gifts and cards, and a very warm and friendly atmosphere. I had a lovely time picking out treasures for Christmas giving and just enjoying the many arrangements and choices. I'll certainly be going back. All the very best to the owners and thank you for setting up in our little town. See more..
