4.5Whistler Olympic Plaza(496 reviews) - Whistler Village/Town Plaza/Olympic Center ... it's all the same (awesome) thing Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Gardens • Playgrounds
Our day trip via Epic bus from Vancouver deposited us within spitting distance of the Town Plaza, Olympic Plaza, etc. but, in all honesty, this is a pretty small piece of geography. Not wanting to split hairs, it is mere steps from one point to another and all the others. And so, here it is: Whistler Village's various named off-shoots are all parts of Whistler's Village. Enjoy the adventure, eat and shop and explore. The Town Plaza is the main area upon arrival. But do adventure out to visit walking destinations (like Lost Lake) and follow your nose. The Whistler Village is small enough that folks cannot get lost unless they really, really work at it.See more..

4.0Hume Park(6 reviews) - All The Amenities Of A Neighbourhood Park Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks • Playgrounds
Tourists should not be mislead that this is a park on the scale of Vancouver's Stanley Park, or Burnaby's Central Park; but it IS a multi-faceted neighbourhood park with swimming, picnic areas, water-park, and so on. So, if the children need a "pit stop", or you need a walk before hitting the freeway, this is for you. Locals - note a cheap place to park (free!) while accessing the Central Valley Brunette Fraser Trail system. About a ten minute walk to the Braid Street Skytrain Station, although I wouldn't recommend this option after dark.See more..

4.5Williams Park(3 reviews) - Hidden Jewel off the "Beaten Track" Thursday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM Spent 1-2 hours Hiking Trails • Playgrounds
My wife and I have been to this park many times over the years. Now I am surprised no previous review has been written of this hidden jewel in the Langley area. This park has extensive picnic areas; both covered and outside. The covered area is very nice and quaint and can be reserved by contacting the Langley City Park Board. Bathroom facilities are very clean and accessible. This park has a wide appeal for everyone. A new playground has been constructed. Down the stairs, behind the big picnic area, is a stream with information boards about the salmon spawning in the nearby stream. There are also well groomed trails to check outSee more..
4.0Diefenbaker Park(2 reviews) - Cute Little Park With an Interesting Name Parks • Playgrounds • Waterfalls
What is a Diefenbaker, you ask? John George Diefenbaker was Prime Minister of Canada in the late '50's/early '60's. As the FIRST pm of neither British nor French heritage, he brought about a new era in Canadian politics. Among his many achievements, his administration saw the completion of the Trans Canada Highway, and the extension of voting rights to non-indigenous peoples living off-reserve. The park itself is built on an old gravel pit, and the designers have done a great job of shaping the park's amenities around the steep slopes. The pool and waterfall are easy to spot from the meadow area, while the gentle slope on the west looks like a tobogganer's dream. Mix in a children's play area, spray park, and music area, plus public washrooms, parking, and picnic services; and you have a lot to do in a compact but well designed area.See more..
5.0Annieville Lions Park(1 review) - Hidden Jewel in North Delta Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Playgrounds
Over the years my wife and I have taken out children and now our grandson to this park. It has a wide variety of activities for children including a very accessible water park that is so easy to activate. What is so surprising, is that this park is never really crowded with parents and children. This park also has an extensive picnic area where families can enjoy a relaxing time among the high statuesque trees that adorn this park. This is certainly a park to check out on a sunny day.See more..
