My favorite experience st the Empress is the house dog on site. ALSO we saw hummingbirds in the flowers. Our group went for high tea priced at 90$ per person. It was incredible. The environment was noisy and the piano player added to that. Great service. Water taxis and sea planes across from the hotel. Went for a conference. We stayed at a condo downtown. The food served at conference was ok. Lots of salmon. Desserts were good.See more..

4.5Brockton Point Totem Pole(1.278 reviews) - A Reminder of the Important Contribution of the First Nations Points of Interest & Landmarks • Monuments & Statues
Tourist alert - you will have to go a loooooooooong way to find an exhibition of this quantity, or quality, or both. There are numerous poles, each with its own story, and a newer statue type exhibit of indigenous art. Gift shop people are quite capable of answering your questions, or recommending a book that will. Great selfie stop. If you don't have time to do everything that Stanley Park has to offer, make sure this is on your short list. I enjoyed the art and learning a bit of history; and I strongly suspect you will too.See more..
4.5Ogden Point Terminal & Breakwater(927 reviews) - The view helped me put things into perspective Spent More than 3 hours Marinas • Neighborhoods • Points of Interest & Landmarks
Definitely add this to your itinerary when visiting Victoria. It's a bit of a long walk from the start of the walkway to the furthest end where the lighthouse is situated, but absolutely worth it. The view is both spectacular and calming, especially in the late afternoons. Sitting on the bench beneath the lighthouse, gazing out into the vast expanse of water made me introspective Dress appropriately as it can be windy and chilly, depending on the time of year you visit. I went early May, and luckily was layered up so I didn't have to boycott my walk. Also, this is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, so it can be crowded sometimes.See more..
4.5White Rock Pier(599 reviews) - Really beautiful but to many people Points of Interest & Landmarks • Piers & Boardwalks
We were here in July and there were too many people on the pier no one practicing social distancing. You would have to constantly move aside to keep the distance. But it was really nice to walk out at sunset and watch the sunset. It was quite a long walk. You can feel the difference between the older parts compared to the newer parts that were replaced. You feel more movement on the older part. If you are in WR definitely take a walk out on this pier the ocean sunset is really beautiful.See more..

My wife and I were in town to celebrate our 17th Anniversary. The last time we stayed in Golden was three years ago and we had strolled down the street just next to this bridge without even knowing we were so close...so this time we purposely went to the Golden Spirit Square and explored the pedestrian bridge. If you visit Whistler you must make time to do this. Allow plenty of time. It can take a lot longer to get to the top of the mountain than advertised and the suspension bridge and viewing platform open later and close earlier than the gondolas. We visited as it opened at 11am and I would highly recommend this to avoid the queues later in the day. From the top of the gondola you then have to ride an open ski lift to the highest point. This is amazing in itself as you leave the noise from other people behind. It is silent apart from the water flowing down the mountain. It was in the middle of a heatwave when we visited but there was still un-melted snow at the top. The views are absolutely stunning. Use mosquito spray before heading up, they are rife at the top of the gondola.See more..

4.5Historic Greenwood(39 reviews) - Always a Pleasant Stop Along the Highway Spent 2-3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
Tucked alongside Highway 3 you will find Greenwood BC. Once a smelting boom town and then a Japanese internment camp, it now remains a quaint, historic little town between Midway and Grand Forks. There are lots of museums and antique shops to stroll through, and all the stores are in keeping with the historic theme. We most enjoyed the Tarnished Turkey Cappuccino bar that greets you as you come into town from the west. Upon entering the store you are immediately greeted with the wonderful aroma of roasted coffee beans. After ordering and tasting our cappuccinos, they are definitely the best we've had in a long time. The town's claim to fame is its water. Touted as the best around. Is this the secret to their coffee? In addition to coffee, and muffins, etc., they also sell unique gifts and jewelry. Make the stop. It's definitely worth the time.See more..

This was a very enjoyable and worthwhile tour. At first we were reluctant because it seemed a bit expensive but our group of four found it well-worth the cost and one of the most enjoyable activities of our trip. The petroglyphs were amazing. And the presentation by our guide Tuqa was the highlight. He was very knowledgeable about the petroglyphs and local legends but also shared interesting stories about his childhood and about customs of the Nuxult. 4.5MV Tarahne(11 reviews) - Back in Time Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Ships
I've attended a variety of events held in the MV Tarahne. It's a lovely, quirky and quaint venue. It is kept up by a hardworking crew of volunteers: The Atlin Historical Society, and what a gift it is to the community and tourists. Inside you have stunning views of Atlin Lake and its shouldering glacial peaks. One can only imagine what it must have been like for the early travellers on the MV Tarahne. If you time your visit in June, you can attend the Tarahne Tea, an event which raises money for the continuing maintenance of the ship. Feel free to dress up: in costume from 1919 or tea with the Queen, in hats and gloves. The tea is hot and excellent and all the sandwiches, cookies, scones, cakes and other treats are homemade by the community, all served on pretty china... AND there is plenty of it. The tour was wonderful but the wind never blew enough, so we decided to visit the Lady of Good Hope Church while taking in the 'Ripples of the Past' scenic walking tour on our bikes. The church is one of 7 sights. Gracefully arching hand carved woodwork adorns the painted church on the shore of gorgeous Stuart Lake.
