Meadows in the Sky Parkway image
The road to reach the top is totally worth it! There are a few possible stops to have a view, then near the lake is THE view on the mountains and glacier far away! The hikes are well indicated. Make sure to bring repellent if you don't like mosquitos much. They aren't all biters but they love humans!! And lots of bees in August (I don't know for the other months with less flowers) See more..

    - One of best drive

    Duffy Lake Road image
Instead of taking a 4-hour Hwy 1 boring drive from Richmond, we opted for this drive from Richmond via Whistler through Duffy lake road (6+ hour). This turns out to be one of the memorable drives we have done. The drive is a single line throughout but not much traffic. Keep your eye open for roadside ditch for bear, once you reach Duffy lake. We came across three of them. The view throughout is magnificent and jaw-dropping. Luckily we took this drive in mid-summer but strongly advise to check BC park and weather for any advisory. 3. 4.5 Stewart-Cassiar Highway (54 reviews)
    - Very Scenic Remote Highway

    Stewart-Cassiar Highway image
The Stewart Cassiar Highway is one of the most beautiful, but very remote highways in the province of British Columbia. You need to be quite self-sufficient as there are limited amenities such as fuel (gasoline, diesel, and propane), as well as limited stops for food and other supplies. Some of the towns of note along the stretch of the Stewart Cassiar Highway are as follows: Kitimat, Kitawanga, Nisga Villages, Gitanayow, Meziadin Junction (access to Stewart (full amenities) via Highway 37A), Bell 2, Iskut, Dease Lake (full amenities), Jade City (limited amenities), and then Watson Lake. So ensure that you have enough fuel, and amenities with you, as you don't have access to many services along this stretch. There are also several Provincial Parks that are along this stretch as well including: Nisga Lava Beds, Meziadin Lake, Kitaskan Lake, Todagin South Slopes, Spatsizi Wilderness Plateau and Headwaters, Stikine River Park, Boya Lake. Please note that these are not all of them, but they are some of the more notable ones. Also, there are several of rest stops, including other lakes including Dease Lake, Tatogga Lake, Eddontenajon Lake and many other lakes. Please note that this stretch also goes up and down in elevations along the way, and there could be adverse weather conditions such as fog, snow, rain, and even during the summer time, it can get cooler up in the higher regions. The road is drivable by 2wd, motorhomes, RV's, and other type of vehicles. The road is seal coat most of the way along with pavement and some stretches that have gravel roads due to the potentials for rock slide areas. Overall this highway is highly recommended, but spend as much time as you can, as wildlife is bountiful depending on the time of the year that you go up. There is a chance of seeing bear, wolf, moose, caribou, and many other types of animals and birds depending on the time of year that you go up. See more..

  5. 4.5 Boston Flats (2 reviews)
    - Gold Country Geotourism: Boston Flats
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historic Sites • Scenic Drives
As we continued our geocaching adventure, we visited a large, flat farming area with a mountain as a back drop. We learned that this land was once explored and then owned by William Sandford who used his nickname and called it Boston Ranch. He irrigated this area and planted potato and tomato crops. Today, a nearby Mobile Home Park carries his name and is known as Boston Flats. See more..
