  5. 4.5 TransLink Seabus (996 reviews)
    - Never Get Tired of the Great Views
    Ferries
    TransLink Seabus image
It seems that, about once a year, I find an excuse to meet someone in North Vancouver so that I can ride the Seabus and enjoy the great views. I've recommended this to tourists in the past but given some of the comments overheard on my recent trip, it occurs to me that locals might enjoy it too. To see the Vancouver skyline looking south can only be seen from the North Shore - easily accessible by Seabus. The panoramic views of Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge to the west, with the harbour all around you, for only a few dollars? So, locals, if you are downtown, grab the Seabus, and when you get to the other side, run quickly through the turnstile and return on the same boat! A half hour you will really enjoy. See more..
  6. 4.5 Kootenay Lake Ferry (191 reviews)
    - Great service, beautiful scenery

Great service, well run, professional, efficient, great safety/health protocols. We understood we needed to remain in our vehicles to protect the staff and other guests (even though we wished it wasn't necessary). We tried to squeeze in a view of the passing scenery from our vehicle. But we appreciated having this ferry service to take us to other parts of the region. Once the pandemic period is over, I can recommend it as a fuller experience to watch the mountains and shorelines as you pass them. Beautiful! (And there's no ferry fee, best of all! - it really opens up the region to all travellers.) See more..

Place was so good. Clean, too. Yeah also they gave me a Nora Roberts book to read and a free BIG TURK chocolate bar to eat as they were out of paper plates. A guy named Al came in and I traded him half my BIG TURK for a couple handsfull of those Candy Bananas no one else seems to eat. See more..

Very friendly and helpful. We travelled at Christmas and we did find getting to Pender can be confusing. Going off Pender you are greeted by a friendly B.C. ferry employee. Terminal has an heated indoor waiting room with washrooms. There is a separate coffee shop but it was closed See more..

    - Poor Customer Service, But A Nice Trip
    Ferries
    BC Ferries image
About 2 weeks prior to departure, we had booked passage from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy on the BC Ferries website for us and our car on the Northern Expedition. We had arranged hotels before and after the ferry. 3 days later we get an email that we would get a full refund as the ferry had an engine problem requiring a lengthy overhaul. I felt that this was poor customer service since they should have suggested alternatives. So we rebooked for a day earlier on the Northern Adventure. This would require rearranging hotels before and after. Then we found out it is an overnite trip. The website wouldn’t allow us to edit our trip to add a cabin so we needed to phone to do so. Once again poor customer service. They tell you that you should be at the dock 2 hours before departure but it really only takes 20-25 minute to load. An outside cabin with 4 comfortable bunk beds and a bathroom was only $130 and is a good value. The engine noise was quite loud, but we did have a good sleep. The next morning we ordered 2 egg McMuffins with a few cold fried potatoes and coffees. The bill was over $25. I recommend bringing food with you as they do have microwaves at the cafeteria. Views along the inside passage are great. Overall we enjoyed the trip and recommend it as the only logical way to get a vehicle from Prince Rupert to Vancouver Island. See more..

Who am I? I've been wondering this for so long. SINCe 1983, to be perfectly exact- I've been wondering what makes me me, my bones MY bones- who's to say they shouldn't belong to anybody else? But, everytime i sink my feet into the softserve BC FERRIES ice cream, I know all is right with my bones. I can still smell it, if I squint my eyes really hard. The ferry sailed across the ocean, letting out its deafening roar. I wonder if it was in pain. I hope they're being treated okay. I know they were in a midsummer night's dream. The ferry was pleasant, beautiful, even, magnificent, large, everything I would've wanted in a man. hehe just kidin im fungy. I didn't LIKE-LIKE the ferry or ANYTHING. hhmmph. I had good time. I'm running out of time now. I must go, but remember everything I've told you. D-don't forget me, okay? :) good. I liked the ferry experience alot it was fun and noce. See more..
