    If you are of robust health, you don't actually have to pay to visit the site. You have to pay to use the gondola, but there's an access road that lets vehicles drive down. It's gated of course, but there's no rule against hiking down. Be warned though, it's five steep doglegs. Hard going down, BRUTAL going up. But if you're up for it, you can save the cost of seeing Hell's Gate and visiting the village. See more..
