    Fun....but needs more organization
My husband and I were recently in Whistler on vacation. We had decided to do tubing and pre-bought tickets online before we even left for our vacation. We noticed online that there wasn't a time to book for....you just show up on the day that you booked. That needs to be better organized. We have done tubing in the winter at several different locations (mostly in Colorado and Utah). There has always been a time slot that you sign up for and then show up at that time. It seems to work better that way. When we got to the tubing place (at Bubly), we had to wait about 35-40 min before they would let us go. To get there, is kind of challenging. You have to ride up one of the gondolas (which is totally fine) and get off at a certain stop. Then, you have to walk across a fairly decent distance in the snow while skiers and snowboarders are coming down the mountain (right in the path of where you have to walk). That is dangerous for us and them! After that, you have to climb up many wooden stairs. Several spots on these stairs have icy spots on them. There are two spots where you have to walk across solid ice (about 6 ft) to get from one section of stairs to the next section. When you finally get to the top of the stairs, there is more solid ice to walk on! I almost slipped a couple of times. They had some gravel here and there, but not enough to really make a difference. They should have put out more gravel or some burlap to help with the traction. It just seems like a broken arm, hip, head injury, etc waiting to happen. The actual hills for tubing are great! They are probably the best and fastest tubing hills that we have ever tubed down! Overall, we had fun. There just needs to be a couple of things improved.

    Whistler Tube Park
We took our 9 year old twin girls to the tube park this week and they absolutely loved it! We took the Excalibur gondola up to park for free from the village. It was a great way to get there and saved us from having to attempt to park in the very crowded lot! We purchased tickets in advance on-line and selected the 2 hour option. It was good that we did as once it gets crowded, the lines do take awhile. The staff are friendly and helpful and it's a cheerful atmosphere! Some of the runs are quite fast, so starting on the smaller hill with kids in tow is a good idea to gage how quickly they are comfortable going (speed wise). We arrived about 20 minutes before they opened and it's good we did. The crowds and lines became lengthy toward the end of our 2 hours. I was surprised that there is NOT a separate line for people that purchased tickets online. So, if you do purchase advance tickets, you still have to stand in line to get your physical tickets / tags to get into the park. This would have been really frustrating had we not been some of the first people in line.
