Awesome snow, great steeps and tree runs, not too crowded
Although there are only two chairlifts above the second gondola and six lifts total, this place seemed to move the skiers and boarders up the hill in a timely manner. Both the Stoke and Ripper chairs can get crowded between 11am and noon, but the wait was never more than five minutes. It's too remote to get ridiculously crowded like Whilstler or any of the Colorado resorts but has a skiing experience to rival any of them. Lodgers are of moderate size but food was great. Can't wait to go back a second time. 2 1/4 hour drive from the Kelowna airport wasn't bad and the town of Revelstoke is a great place with plenty of good restaurants and bars. We rented a house for 10 at the base area and were challenged to find a lot of good choices for a party that size. The rental market still needs time to develop with a variety of good choices for larger parties at various price ranges. Regardless this is a great place to ski for experts and among the best choices in North America, let alone in Canada.

    Pipe Coaster is Worth It
The only reason I booked a night in Revelstoke was to take my kids on the Pipe Coaster at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. They thoroughly enjoyed it, but there are certain things you need to know before trying to book a day at the resort. Here are my thoughts: 1) Book online to save money and to guarantee a spot. But wouldn't suggest booking any more than 1 week in advance, as you will want to know what the weather outlook is. If it rains, it shuts down everything. We experienced a 30min delay when it drizzled a bit while we were there. 2) Try to check-in as early as possible, because as several people have mentioned, there can be a 2 or 3 hour wait. So plan for it. After we got out time slot numbers, we had time for a leisurely lunch and do other activities. Probably had enough time to go to our hotel to check-in too if we wanted. 3) If you get an all-day pass that includes two pipe coaster rides, they are consecutive times. So you basically go down once, and you can immediately ride the gondola up to go down again. 4) The axe throwing is fun, but only took less than 15 minutes. 5) Aerial Adventure Park looks fun, but my kids decided not to do it. Could be an easy way to spend time waiting for the Pipe Coaster. 6) Disc golf entrance is included, but I think you still need to pay for disc rentals, so we didn't do that either. Overall, the all day pass good value, but you need to plan it carefully too. My kids loved the Pipe Coaster and axe throwing.
