    - Great youth camp activities

    Big Rock Adventure image
We booked with Big Rock Adventures for our young men annual camp out. Rachel was great to work with for scheduling our activities and being flexible on the numbers. They kept changing and they even charged us less when one member of our group didn’t do one activity. Our boys had a great time with all of the activities and the river guides we had were awesome. I don’t remember all of their names. They made the river rafting awesome. Also they were awesome on our other activities. See more..
  2. 5.0 The Rock Stop (97 reviews)
    - Went out of our way for this place.
    Speciality & Gift Shops
    The Rock Stop image
We love this place. This was our second visit. First was in 2018. We even drove a little out of our way to stop specifically at this place. Ever go into a rock shop, and immediately know it's going to be overpriced, and it's just another retail store, only for rocks? Well this place is *NOT* one of those places! Unpretentious fits. So does friendly, informed, good selection, and great prices. And they have ice cream, donuts, and coffee. And the people here are exceptionally nice. If you are traveling through Orderville, this place is a must see. See more..

The slot canyon hike that my wife and I chose was an incredible and unique experience. Our guide Mary, did an outstanding job. She was professional, knowledgeable, and catered to our specific interests. We are avid hikers in our 60's, and she made sure we felt safe and comfortable at all times. Shari and Shawn were most helpful in guiding us to select the hike that was most appropriate for us. We would highly recommend this company. See more..
  4. 5.0 North Wash Outfitters (96 reviews)
    - North Wash 3-day Basic Canyoneering Class
    Sightseeing Tours
    North Wash Outfitters image
Excellent basic canyoneering course. I had very limited experience and this is exactly what a "newbie" needs. The first classroom day makes sure that students have the background and basics. The second day on the wall allows for LOTS of hands-on practice with anchors/knots/blocks and basic rescue techniques of lowering and ascending. The final fun day in the canyon provides real world application of the skills we learned and practiced, as well as beautiful views and adventure to share with new friends. Jared and his crew (Tammy and Lisa for our class) are knowledgeable and patient and entertaining - can't recommend this class enough. Looking forward to the advanced class after practicing my skills. 5. 5.0 Park City Rafting (89 reviews)
    - Super Fun Rafting Trip
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing
    Park City Rafting image
We had a really fun time! Jeff was our guide. We took our kids ages 17, 12, and 11 and they all were able to participate in the ride. It was relaxing and adventurous at the same time because there were a few little rapid areas throughout the ride and Jeff knew exactly how to maneuver through every single rock. He knew a lot about the surrounding area as well which was cool. Definitely would recommend rafting with Park City Rafting See more..
  6. 5.0 Utah Slickrock Guides (88 reviews)
    - Outstanding hiking experience
    Hiking & Camping Tours
    Utah Slickrock Guides image
2 days of hiking with Utah Slick Rock Guides was the highlight of our trip to southern Utah and we highly recommend it if you are in the area. Craig and Skye do an excellent job of asking questions to assess your hiking level and specific hiking interests. They know the area incredibly well and flawlessly guide you through unmarked and minimally travelled areas of Escalante. After spending time in beautiful but very overcrowded Zion, we fully appreciated the peace, tranquility and immense beauty of this less traveled area. We also appreciated all the tips provided by Craig and skye which helped ensure, not just a good hike with them, but a great trip overall. See more..

  9. 5.0 Lofty Peaks Adventures (85 reviews)
    - Great trails, great optionality, great views
    Sunday: 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Gear Rentals
    Lofty Peaks Adventures image
We rented 4 ATVS and 2 side by sides for a half day in the Unitas. Experience was awesome, and views were amazing. We were an experienced group that was somewhat worried the experience would be too juvenile, but it was not. Great trail with plenty of options all the way to Mill Hollow. Trails are bumpy but the machines were well powered and we were able to cover a good amount of terrain. Trail markings aren't the best (something I actually love about Utah), so take a detailed trail map from AllTrails if you aren't good with finding your way around. Side by side handled terrain better, and ATVs more challenging to ride, but both very fun if you know how to handle. We will be back soon! See more..
  10. 5.0 Get In The Wild (84 reviews)
    - Worth the money for a unique experience.
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Canyoning & Rappelling Tours
    Get In The Wild image
We did a group canyoneering excursion in Capitol Reef that was guided by Logan and included rappelling and a slot canyon. Our group ranged from comfortable with canyoneering to “never been”. Logan accommodated the range of experience and made it a really fun, yet challenging, adventure for all of us. I’m afraid of heights and he really talked me through the rappelling and slot canyons to where I felt safe and comfortable. He made sure he was attentive to what I was experiences and making sure to give me extra support and guidance. We had a full day of a variety of experiences - scrambling, hiking, rappelling and slot canyon. Even the more experienced people in our group said it was an amazing experience. We all agreed we got way more than we expected out of the day! I highly recommend this outfitter and Logan as a guide! See more..

    - My favorite hike ever!
    Geologic Formations
    The Subway image
I went through the subway with my parents, sister, and some of my cousins about 5 years ago. It was beautiful and unlike anything else. It is very challenging but definitely worth it. You have to get permits from Zion's to do this hike. You do have to repel down 3 areas, swim through water, and hike a lot. We took camelbacks, waterproof everything or put it in a waterproof bag, had someone drop us off and pick us up, and know how to repel. It is also good to wear hiking shoes and then have waterproof shoes. See more..

  15. 5.0 Chesler Park Loop Trail (69 reviews)
    - Incredible Hike in Middle of Needles District of Canyonlands
    Hiking Trails
    Chesler Park Loop Trail image
This hike is 11 miles. We did it in March 2017 on an unseasonably warm day (low 80s). It is quie incredible with a 3 mile hike to the Chester Loop which is 5 miles then you return on the 3 mile hike you entered on. The trailhead starts at Elelphant Hill which is easy to get to, just about 3 miles of well graded gravel road off the pave park road. It is fairly strenuous due to it's length but taking your time with plenty of water and snacks and you'll be fine. The trail is well worn so easy to follow and there are cairns on the slick rock sections to guide you. This hike includes the Joint Trail which is a narrow (2 to 3 foot) crack in the rock that you go through. It was a refreshing shaded section that provided some relief from the sun. My wife and I loved this hike. We are in our mid 60s and in ffairly good shape so we were able to accomplish this hike in 7.5 hours. We were sore the next day but nothing that stopped from continue more hiking in the following days. There is lots of good info online for this hike so check that out if you are planning this hike. Start with the two short movies and then move on to the varied and poignant displays, as well as the actual recreation building. With more than 25 years of guide experience on the Green River, Charlie is extremely knowlegable and experienced. While staying at the Grand Canyon North, we had the pleasure of taking the mule ride into the canyon and I am SO glad we did. "Kansas" was our guide and he was excellent! He told us fun stores along the way and was very attentive to everyone's needs. The mules were well cared for and were experts at navigating the narrow path. Kansas made the 3-hour ride extra special with his knowledge of the canyon. Going into the canyon was truly an experience as the scenery certainly changes as you go down. This would be an absolute MUST when visiting the North Rim! See more..
  29. 5.0 Skydive The Wasatch (52 reviews)
    - Great Experience
    Adrenaline & Extreme Tours
    Skydive The Wasatch image
We had a great time. I have done static line jumps in the past my wife has not jumped before. The reception was great and the training prior to the jump helped put us both at easy. The only issue we had was the weather and even then the crew was accommodating and upbeat. They helped pass the time until it was safe to jump. We random jumped with two experienced skydivers and enjoyed their experience and expertise. The ride in the plane was awesome to be able to see the views around Nephi. Then the jump was awesome and we enjoyed it. It was the first time I was able to jump with a steerable chute and that was so much fun compared to my previous jumps. The landing was soft and right back were we left the airport from so no need to get bussed somewhere. We jumped on a week day and we were able to enjoy just the two of jumping that day. We did get the royal treatment. Thanks again for a great experience! See more..

It is hard to pick the best part of this experience. We had never been canyoneering before and to be honest we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We were nervous and doubting we will be able to complete the day until we met our amazing guide Jared. His passion for mountain climbing and knowledge made us feel safe at all times. He was also extremely patience with our teens and pre teen. They never felt preassure to do anything they did not want to do. Jared was amazing at teaching them how to focus, trust in themselves and pushed them to do things they did not think they could do. They are still talking about him and how accomplished they felt during the trip. On top of everything he took some amazing pictures of the my boys and famiy. Wilderness Ridge Trail Llamas image
Family of 4 (children 11/14) did the half day hike with lunch and every bit of it was awesome! Intro with our great guide Phil and his llama 101 overview - perfect. His knowledge of the area was so helpful & answered all our questions, along with a good sense of humor. We hiked about 1.5 mile to a lunch spot near a beautiful big Ponderosa Pine. He fixed up a spread that our family loved, good fresh food and a variety of drink options. And the hike back was a different route - enjoyed getting to see so much of this area. We got to give the llamas treats after and they welcomed our visit back later in the day to see them again as we were staying on the same property. This was no doubt a highlight of our trip. Great service, food, people, and sweet llamas that they obviously love as their own fur babies! ❤️ Highly recommend this fun adventure. See more..

This arch is only accessible with four wheel drive. You start off on a paved road in the park that quickly becomes a rock-crawler. We've done this many times and the "road" is much rougher now than it was 20 years ago. The arch is a short walk from the road. Very isolated and beautiful. There are a couple of other arches to the right of it that are harder to see because they have red rock in the background (no sky). See more..

The trails in and around Kanab are varied and all have beautiful vistas and some shade in spots when it heats up. They vary in intensity. The Raven here was an easy trail to start with as a warm up for Squaw. I felt comfortable without poles but was glad I had my hiking shoes on. The Squaw Trail here even had a hand rail in one part to aid one while taking it as it starts out steep, and was well maintained. I heard and saw hawks and turkey vultures overhead and beautiful views and faces in the rocks and hoodoos while climbing. The view at the top seemed to be endless covering many miles and well worth the climb. I highly recommend this trail. See more..

We stayed at the Cedar Breaks Resort and the front desk gave us a list of everything we needed to see in Bryan Head, and just a bit beyond- the overlook was one of those places. If we were morning people I think the sunrise would be out of this world, but we are night people... and the sun set was beautiful- cold but beautiful!!! Even though we shared this little location with a few other people it felt like we were the only ones there. Our pictures turned out beautiful- and our memories will last a lifetime! See more..

Get a chance to shoot a gun safely with an instructor holding a national-level certification. We're located right in Orderville, Utah, on the road between Zion, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Many of our visitors stop in for a shoot on their way from one park to the next! I'm a school teacher, so my hours are a little irregular during the school year (August-May). I'm mostly open on Saturdays, but can sometimes do a session on a weekday afternoon. Call, text, or email for availability. See more..
