Beautiful pottery!! My husband and I are not known to show up in art galleries, but as you walk the streets of Springdale, you feel compelled to see what is inside these boutique galleries. We were very warmly greeted at Worthington Gallery on December 26th and told just enough about the gallery to intrigue us, but also knew we could ask more questions if we were interested. The pieces were all so eye catching and unique - and had prices for all levels of art appreciation - we literally bought our first piece of official artwork from here for our home, that's how much we enjoyed the gallery!! We have a gorgeous piece to remind us of our very different Christmas celebration since we did not travel to the east coast to be with family. I briefly met a rather interesting woman in Richfield yesterday- she caught my eye because she was so stylish- golden yellow fur vest, black basics underneath with purple accessories. Thought she might be an Interior Designer- close, Her name was Diane. Mentioned she owned an art gallery in Torrey so as an artist myself I was immediately intrigued. She gave me her card and I am in the process of photographing my paintings to send to her. Maybe they are exhibit worthy? Very nice and peaceful place to stop and see some of the local artisans and see their work. There are 3 artists: a painter, a potter and a Navajo jeweler. The paintings are of the beautiful surrounding nature sights, the pottery is of abstract design: Aladdin lamps, State mugs out of license plate molds and other interesting bowls and designs. I am a puzzle LOVER. I love puzzles. Dowdle puzzles are some of my favorite and I have always wanted to visit the factory in Utah since it isn't too far from Park City (a spot we go to often). On our last trip to Salt Lake City/Park City, I finally got to stop at the Dowdle Factory. SO cool! Everyone there was so nice and the lovely lady at the front desk even gave us a peek of the work room where there is a GIANT Dowdle puzzle on the wall...like 30k pieces, I think she said. This was so amazing to see! The showroom has a bunch of puzzles so of course, I bought way too many. Great, fun stop!!See more..
