We took two excellent photo tours with Dineh Bekeyah while in Monument Valley. Both were with Harry Nez who is very personable and had wonderful stories of growing up in the valley and shared his knowledge of the Dine people, culture and language. Harry is also a wonderful photographer and had great suggestions about both composition and technical aspects of photography. The first day was a morning tour through the valley to many wonderful locations. The second day was the highlight of our trip with a late afternoon/evening/sunset trip up to Hunt's Mesa. It was quite a 4-wheel drive adventure getting to the top of the mesa and the views were spectacular. It was an amazing vantage point to over look the entire valley. Great outing for a group of clients, even with basic to intermediate photography skills! Seth was an impressive leader and was able to guide our group of 10 through both a night photography session at Bryce Canyon and a Sunrise tour. He quickly assessed our individual interest and skill level, proposed and adjusted options to meet a variety of needs and we all ended the trips with more knowledge than we started and some awesome pictures. He was prepared and professional, fun and engaging and had a great knowledge of photography and the area. We got a great dinner tip and all felt empowered to take pictures. 3, 50’ish ladies just completed the Capital Reef, 5 day Horsebackriding/camping trip with Hondoo. We all agree our horses were some of the best we have ever ridden. Before embarking on out trip we bombarded Pat with so many emails and phone calls on what her protocols were to keep us all safe during COVID. They did a spectacular job. We were very comfortable with all the precautions. Our tents and supplied bedding were top notch. Our group was joined by another group of 3 who had various dietary restrictions and requests. All were addressed and executed to everyone’s expectations, not an easy task! We have taken several trips like this one in different states. I am a native who has been out to photograph the herd many times, but nothing compares with a tour with Jen! I now realize that I often didn’t know what I was seeing, and that it takes someone with Jen’s incredible knowledge of the herd and wild horse behavior to truly understand and appreciate what is happening and what you are seeing. Her knowledge of the individual horses, their families and behavior is amazing. Our guided tour with Louis Williams was by far the highlight of our trip to southeastern Utah. We visited cliff dwellings in the Bears Ears National Monument, and all along the way, Louis shared his fascinating stories of the ancient Indigenous way of life, the geology of the region, its plants and animals. When we booked the tour, our intention was simply to learn about what we were seeing. Louis provided us with so much more!
