My partner and I went on the East Zion Jeep Tour and it was such a wonderful experience! Our guide, Teresa, was a very skilled driver and told us a lot about the areas we drove through. The jeep had great suspension which made the off-road terrain a lot of fun in the snow. We stopped at an overlook which had spectacular views of Zion from farther up, and Teresa let us take our time there before heading back. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see parts of Zion that are less travelled.See more..

We decided to hike the Narrows as a family of four (our kids are 8 and 10), and the staff at Zion Adventures were so friendly and informative. They answered all our questions, made sure our gear fit well, and even provided us with a map detailing the Narrows, what landmarks to look for, how far we could go with our kids, etc. They also sell a lot of gear you might have forgotten or not realized you needed so also a good place to stock up. Our kids even got a few stickers that one of the staff had designed herself! Price was affordable at $30 per person for boots, neoprene socks and a hiking stick. What a great time we had for our first canyoneering adventure! Dion and Gabby were skilled, experienced, thoughtful, and a joy to be with. Winter weather had just hit Zion and surrounding areas so they took the time to seek out and do a rehearsal on a new spot for them--- just so we could still do something amazing during our limited time at Zion NP. This was a great canyoneering experience! At first we wanted to take the morning session but the afternoon session actually worked out much better with weather being perfect. We were able to book the adventure a day before for 4 people and got the whole guide to ourselves. Many other canyoneering places were booked at least a week out and had higher prices. Our guide Melissa was AMAZING! she explained everything well, great conversations, gave us choice to where to go, made us feel safe and allowed the perfect amount of time to experience what we expected to in a Half day trip. We were not sure what to expect when we booked our canyoneering adventure, but our experience far exceeded our expectations. From our initial introductions when we entered the shop throughout our 5 hours together, every step was fantastic. Jackson was our guide and coach for the day and he was fantastic. Traveling with 2 adults and 2 kids under 10, we were incredibly impressed with the knowledge, patience, understanding and commitment to providing the best possible experience for our family. He took the extra time to make sure that we all had a great time and really helped the kids feel comfortable in the climbs and rappels and they had a great time because of his hand holding and support. Great experience and great customer service. The owner Johnathan is truly a great business owner and operator. He made sure my party of 4 had an experience in Zion unmatched to other competitors in the area. He personally helped resolved some hiccups in the trip itinerary that did not have any correlation with Zion Guru but another party. This is was a great trip for our family of 7 with kids ages 6-16. Marlene and Jamie were knowledgeable and patient guides, helping our kids overcome their fears and learn to repel. They were especially good with my 6 year old and by the end of the trip he was bragging about how he was going to be a rock climber when he grows up. Marlene and Jamie also knew a lot about the area and shared little gems about the plants, animals and geography of southern Utah. It was a memorable trip and I'd book with them again when visiting that part of of the world.See more..

My wife and I took two 1/2 day tours. The first was led by Nate who took us to the River House ruins along with a number of other sites and it was an amazing half day adventure. On day two we took a half-day excursion with Spencer who took us to the Cave Towers, House on Fire ruins, and a short side trip into an area with dinosaur tracks. Both Nate and Spencer are very professional and highly knowledgeable and the tours were absolutely worth every dime. Our family did a day of canyoneering with our guide Mark and his assistant AJ. It was an incredible adventure and our child’s overcame their fears and conquered the canyon. We originally sought to do a Narrows your but thunderstorms overnight put the river in flash flood warning. Our guide quickly adapted and helped us to decide on an all day hiking tour as a ‘substitute’. But the word does not do it justice. Our guide turned lemons into lemonade with her positive attitude and problem solving. Not only was the all day hike a success, but it was made more so by the evenings previous rain. Our guide led us to areas that rarely experience fall waterfalls but with the rainstorm, we saw some amazing sites. The day cleared up and we did roughly 10 miles including the Emerald pools and just up near Angels Landing. According to my wife’s Apple Watch we climbed 100 flights of stairs! Our guide also negotiated with the equipment rental to allow us to keep our equipment for another day and gave us advice on doing the Narrows ourselves.See more..

Our tent was better than some hotel rooms we have had! Spotless, tastefully decorated, fully outfitted with cookware, plates, etc. We had a slight issue with our coffee maker Within minutes of our text someone brought us a replacement. Great experience! We booked with Big Rock Adventures for our young men annual camp out. Rachel was great to work with for scheduling our activities and being flexible on the numbers. They kept changing and they even charged us less when one member of our group didn’t do one activity. Our boys had a great time with all of the activities and the river guides we had were awesome. We did a group canyoneering excursion in Capitol Reef that was guided by Logan and included rappelling and a slot canyon. Our group ranged from comfortable with canyoneering to “never been”. Logan accommodated the range of experience and made it a really fun, yet challenging, adventure for all of us. I’m afraid of heights and he really talked me through the rappelling and slot canyons to where I felt safe and comfortable. He made sure he was attentive to what I was experiences and making sure to give me extra support and guidance. We had a full day of a variety of experiences - scrambling, hiking, rappelling and slot canyon. Even the more experienced people in our group said it was an amazing experience. It is hard to pick the best part of this experience. We had never been canyoneering before and to be honest we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We were nervous and doubting we will be able to complete the day until we met our amazing guide Jared. His passion for mountain climbing and knowledge made us feel safe at all times. He was also extremely patience with our teens and pre teen. They never felt preassure to do anything they did not want to do. Jared was amazing at teaching them how to focus, trust in themselves and pushed them to do things they did not think they could do. They are still talking about him and how accomplished they felt during the trip. On top of everything he took some amazing pictures of the my boys and famiy. We now not only have great memories but also incredible pictures we can share with loved ones. We cannot wait to come back and explore more of this beautiful park.See more..

Tim was awesome prioritizing safety so we could prioritize fun. The experience was both active and educational as Tim shared information about the history and geology of the area. Tim was particularly great with our apprehensive six year old guiding him with adept encouragement as he encountered some challenging areas on the trek. Our six year old ended up loving it as did the whole family. Our time with Tim was the highlight of a multi NP, multi family activity vacation. The views were incredible too.
