    There were 5 of us over 60 years old that did these three enjoyable, and very scenic trail. The Arches trail is down Casto Canyon Rd. to the Loose Trail head. 0.7 mile loop. Birdseye Trail along the canyon face through hoodoos. 1 and a half mile loop back to the visitor center. Pink Ledges Trail from the visitor center looping through very scenic canyons and hoodoos. Lots of colorful canyon walls. 0.4 mile loop. See more..

    We drove this road in May and were surprised to see all the snow. We drove for miles through beautiful frozen land. We are from Florida and snow in May was exciting to us. We passed parks and an avalanche training center near the summit (about 10,000 feet). Huntington Lake was still partially frozen around the edges. This was a wonderful drive for southern flat-landers. Even the oil refineries were different for us. If you are a camper, there are many places to camp and plenty of fishing spots for those so inclined. See more..
