This melancholy final resting place on a hill near Twin Rocks Trading Post makes for a worthwhile wander. The graves, in traditional Mormon fashion, are austere and bear the names of Bluff's founding families going back to the mid-19th century. The cliffside setting is a landscape straight out of a John Ford film, affording indelible views of the town and redrocks. Sunrise and sunset are ideal for photographs, and the relative lack of light pollution allows for some pretty unimpeded stargazing, with a Milky Way so textured you feel like reaching out and touching it. Great for those who appreciate this kind of historical information. The town takes very good care of the cemetery and allows decorations for special events (July 4th, Memorial Day, etc) so it's takes on a very nice look with flags, flowers and decorations. Lots of older graves and a wonderful map available at the visitor's center (Main and Center street) that had detailed info about burials as well as headstone styles. There is also a computer kiosk that's open at different times to look up information. Rows are paved and deer roam the grounds in the winter. See more..

Cool ghost town and cemetery. Part of the drive is a gravel road, but it was easy to travel; although a bit bumpy. If you like ghost towns, then this one is worth the time and the bumpy drive! See more..
