3 Star Places To Visit in Alaska, United States (27)
3.5Chena Hot Springs Resort(792 reviews) - Visit Chena, avoid the cabins! Saturday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 AM Spent More than 3 hours Hot Springs & Geysers
Escape to this eco-friendly resort in the Alaskan wilderness. It has woodsy cabins, rustic lodges, and family suites, making it a popular getaway spot. The main highlights here are the geothermal hot springs lake, outdoor and indoor hot tubs, as well as heated indoor pools. In summer, you can try activities like horseback riding and ATV tours. While in the winter, you can go on a snowmobile tour, go ice fishing, and even join an elusive Northern Lights viewing tour. Visit the Aurora Ice Museum, which is open year-round, to view ice sculptures and enjoy an Appletini served in an iconic ice-carved glass. – TripadvisorSee more..
The museum is located in downtown Fairbanks and parking is difficult, even more so for us driving a 25 foot RV. We dropped in to see if there was a time opening. We were allowed to join in on the tour that just started. After watching a film you were invited backstage to see many small ice sculptures. The backstage is kept at 20 degrees to keep the ice from melting. And they have parkas available to use so we were comfortable. We even rode the sled down a small ice slide. Afterwards, we watched a short demonstration in ice carving—and we were amazed at the beautiful work the artists can do. Wow! When you can’t be in Fairbanks to see the making of the BIG sculptures in the winter, this summer tour is beautiful. But for the $15 entrance fee, you would expect a little more.See more..
3.5Music of Denali Dinner Theater(290 reviews) - Drink a little hootch; eat a little moose! Dinner Theaters • Theatre & Performances
Another reviewer used the word "campy" which is perfect. At the time we thought the dinner was pretty decent and the performances were enthusiastic. But what I really want to add to the reviews was how much entertainment we got reflecting on the show later during our trip. I can't tell you how many times we giggled reenacting the words and body movement parts of the audience participation. So this show continued to entertain us for an entire week! Thank you.See more..

It may not be a super hot attraction, but if you're in Seward for longer than a week, plan to spend at least a few minutes down here at the falls. Beautiful, loud, refreshingly cold, stunning. In the summer I love to come down here and just stare at the water and spray.See more..

The hot springs are open for day passes. The complex has male and female locker rooms with coin (quarters) operated lockers. There is an indoor pool, two indoor hot tubs, an outdoor hot tub and the hot springs. The hot springs varies in temperature depending on where you are standing with it being hotter closer to the edges / ends of the pool. Don't mind the sulfur smell.See more..

3.5The Fishing Hole(11 reviews) - Big Hole and Big fun Bodies of Water
Really this is just a big hole in the Spit where salmon stranded by the tide swim around and try to avoid getting caught. But it is a lesson in people watching to see the joy and excitement when one is hooked. It is also worth watching a seal come in and pursue a fish. Great for just watching fish and fisherman.See more..
