    - Amazing

    Haines-Skagway Fast Ferry image
I had a great time during my trips back and forth from Skagway and Haines. I had to change my departure times 3 times on them and they so graciously let me do it. The office staff were so kind and helpful and then the naturalists gave a great tour of the passage. I recommend them 10/10 any day. See more..

    Seldovia Bay Ferry image
My family rode the ferry for our trip to Seldovia in August 2022. I’ve been to Seldovia many times in the past, but had always been to and from Homer on private boats. We were really impressed with how great the crew treated us and how efficient the overall operation of the ferry was. I will definitely use them in the future and would highly recommend this service to anyone traveling to Seldovia. A big thank you to all the crew for taking care of us! See more..

    - Another awesome trip, POW to Ketchikan

As always, the staff is very professional and accommodating, and always answer any questions with a smiling demeanor. It is such a beautiful trip between POW and Ketchikan. It’s really a million dollar experience I feel for paying so little. I have utilized many fairies in the past in Alaska, and have used Inter Island Ferry more than a dozen times and I have never been let down. They are always on time or early, which means a lot when you’re booking the rest of your trip, utilizing planes, trains, and automobiles so to speak, Thanks again for another wonderful trip. 5. 5.0 Valdez Water Taxi and Charters (37 reviews)
    - Fantastic morning on the boat with Josh
    Saturday: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM Ferries • Fishing Charters & Tours
Valdez Water Taxi and Charters image
Josh was recommended by our air bnb host to go do a wildlife/sightseeing tour. He went out of his way to take us out at the last minute as we were only in town for one day. He was a great knowledgeable guide and patient with me as I struggled with the binoculars. Had a fantastic morning out on the boat with him. And I would say I highly recommend him over the larger boats as he can get in to tighter spaces and see more. See more..
  6. 5.0 Viking Travel, Inc. (35 reviews)
    - Took our dream and made it happen!
Saturday: Multi-day Tours • National Parks • Ferries • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
    Viking Travel, Inc. image
Viking Travel and agent Fini gave us a wonderful experience. We did not want to cruise Alaska's Inside Passage and found the Marine Highway ferry system very complicated to string together our destinations. We wanted to spend more time in the small towns and seeing wildlife instead of on the cruise boat. Fini took our destinations and created an efficient itineary to visit 5 stops. She came up with fanscinating side trips which we were not aware of within our itinery. We still had much time to explore on our own: parks, museums and hiking. The accommodations had local flavor and great location. Saw Juneau, Sitka, Glacier Bay, Skagway and Haines. No gliches! Well done. See more..
  7. 5.0 Tidewater Taxi (17 reviews)
    - Best tour ever!!
Waterskiing & Jetskiing • Ferries • Dolphin & Whale Watching • Stand Up Paddleboarding
    Tidewater Taxi image
It sounds cliche, but this was really the highlight of our 10 day trip to Alaska! Gabe is so friendly and knowledgeable and he was willing to customize our 8-hour tour along the way. He mentioned a remote island where oysters are harvested and we asked to go there. No prob! He not only took us there but he shucked oysters for us as we floated in the calm waters of Prince William Sound. We saw otters, seals, bald eagles, porpoises, and puffins but the most incredible part of the day was when Gabe brought us to Surprise Glacier where we watched in amazement as the glacier calved several times. I was a bit nervous as the first few minutes out of the harbor seemed rough (it wasn't), but the rest of the ride was smooth and the 8 hours flew by in Gabe's comfortable boat! Do not hesitate to book this adventure!! See more..

  10. 5.0 Weather Permitting (1 review)
    - Safe and scenic ride
    Ferries
    Weather Permitting image
Sailed with Weather Permitting to and from Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge. Very efficient and friendly staff. Focused on safety, not just water safety but appropriate Covid precautions. Per regulations use of masks were required when inside the cabin. Reviewed on-water emergency procedures including use of life-vests, life raft and response to man overboard accident. In case of the latter never take your eye off the person, keep pointing at him/her, all the while yelling “man overboard!” while crew turn boat around. Also throw safety ring as close to the person as possible. The skies were mostly clear and it was sunny but winds were blowing hard and there was a heavy chop. It was still preferable to be on the rear deck and watch the views even if it meant being occasionally doused with sea spray. The captain requested we not stand on the foredeck when in motion, only when stopped for wildlife and scenery viewing. The classic views of the Kenai Fjords were in full display. The iconic sea stacks topped with a tree or two, steep-sided fjord walls, snow fields up high. Of course there were the glaciers of the Harding Icefield that poured of the Kenai Peninsula to the sea (tidewater glaciers): Bear (the largest, seen only from a distance), Holgate (up close), Surprise Glacier (hanging glacier, no longer makes it to the water or another glacier), and Aialik (seen at a middle distance). Wildlife spotted: horned puffins, cormorants, gulls galore, Steller’s sea lion, harbor seals, and a few late-departing humpback whales including a mother and calf. The staff were always available to answer questions, and were clearly very knowledgeable. The ride back took place under more threatening conditions though the water was more calm. We stopped only twice to watch the humpbacks, but it seemed seals and seabirds had hunkered down for the approaching storm. A good ride, safe and scenic. See more..
