You really kind of know what you’re getting when reading about this place ahead of time so it’s hard to be too disappointed. Tourist trap? Over-priced gift store? Tacky Christmas decorations? There doesn’t seem to be tons to do in the Fairbanks area (other than outdoor/nature related of course), so this was a nice little stop not requiring a far out of the way drive. It was enjoyable to see the shop. We didn’t buy much due to prices. Santa wasn’t in, but we were childless and so this was a non-issue. Overall I appreciated the Christmas theme of the city itself just as much or more so than the store.See more..

This is a very cool shop that I think gets overlooked because its on a highway, in the middle of a long straightway between Eilson AFB and Salcha. I prepare myself when coming back from the Salcha river, so I remenber to stop. What a great stop. While staying in Denali we wandered into this little shop and were so pleasantly surprised. There were hand designed T's and Sweatshirts with so many different logos. I saw earrings I liked at the Thompson Center, but when I went back later to get them, the gift shop was closed. The employee at the If Only Gift shop told me of Judie's show room, which is about 5 miles south of Fairbanks in Ester. We drove there late in the afternoon on a Friday, and it was still open (sometimes they close early). I was able to look at so many of her beautiful pieces, find the earrings I had originally liked, and even make a change in the semi-precious stone that were included.
