4.0Icy Strait Point(1.321 reviews) - Small cruise ship stop with good scenery but limited and expensive activities Saturday: Cultural Tours • 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
Visited from our cruise ship. Very small place with lovely scenery but limited activities. IMO your best bet is to hike the short nature trails and take the cable car up the mountain for more hiking and scenic views. Would have loved to have done the seated zip line but not at 170 USD for one ride! We had prebooked the bear watch to the river combined with the whale watch and at around 250 USD each it wasn't worth it. We didn't see any bears and found out later that sightings here are rare. The whale watch was OK but we only saw a couple. There is much better whale watching at Juneau and Seward.See more..
This was our second trip with Brady out to the Knik Glacier and it did not disappoint! We began our day with a little bit of sunshine that later became liquid sunshine. Brady was an amazing guide that adjusted our tour based upon the changing weather conditions; however, even with the rain, he never lost his enthusiasm. In fact, he actually became more enthusiastic with the rain!! The glacier was massive and the views were epic. I highly recommend this trip.See more..
Excellent! This was a really nice adventure. The food and drink was fantastic, we were collected from the dock with really clear communication. On the trail, the vehicles were easy to manage despite the steep paths. There were fantastic views and hidden gems, waterfalls, a lovely lake, and spectacular views back over the valley. We had 3 kids with us between 4 and 11 and all fitted in the back seat comfortably. Cost-wise you get a lot more for your money than some other tours, and I felt like it was money well spent.See more..
5.0Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska(320 reviews) - A snowy rollercoaster ride through the woods! Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Multi-day Tours • 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Ski & Snow Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
My husband and I did the 10am mushing tour, and we loved it! We were able to ride on the same sled. Our guide musher, Matt, was fantastic, had a great attitude, answered all of our questions and told us about each dog that was getting attached to the gangline. It was interesting to see the strategy of lining up a team of dogs. Part of the time is spent socializing with the dogs as they prep for the mushing tour and then other time spent on the trail. The dogs were so excited to get running and clearly love pulling. If you stand on the foot boards on the back of the sled, be prepared to put in a little effort in going up hills. I rode in the sled so didn't have to do much work (held on tight). It felt like a really fun rollercoaster ride at times since it wasn't always flat during the tour which made it very fun. The scenery is beautiful through the snowy woods. This is a must do on a trip to Alaska!See more..
My husband and I rented two ATVs to explore Knik River while on our honeymoon. The rental process was super smooth, including the add-on delivery option to the trailhead. We spent hours exploring all of the local trails, despite not being able to make it all the way to Knik Glacier and would recommend ATR 100%!See more..
Tommy is absolutely a great tour-guide, ATV teacher, and gentleman. Our flight was delayed and we would have missed our tour, but Tommy (Phillips) moved our tour to the next day without hesitation. The tour itself was a blast and my family enjoyed the combination UTV/ATV experience (we were all first-time drivers and Tommy couldn't have been nicer/more patient). At the end, we stopped at the store for some ice cream to top off our great time with Glacier View. Thanks guys for a great and muddy time!See more..
5.0Edgewater Outfitters(14 reviews) - Memories to last a lifetime 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
This was one of the BEST days ever! I’ve traveled a lot and have seen a lot….I’ve lived in 5 beautiful states…..been deep sea fishing off the coast of Florida, fished the gold metal waters of Colorado, done a 3 day float fishing trip on the snake river in Utah…. BUT where our guide took us was absolutely breathtaking and an experience of a lifetime….a private spot with just me and my fiancé in the middle of a river with salmon running all around us….he captured awesome pictures and videos of us and we catch so many fish….a line gets tangled, or you lose a lure ..no problem he hands you another pole so you can keep on fishing…. Seriously this experience was worth thousands $$$ so the $600 we paid for 4 hrs of fishing in a remote spot surrounded by gorgeous mountains was priceless and worth every penny. Oh and Buddy his dog was awesome too….My little fish retriever ❤️ Thank you Remo for a day we will never forget…we were blessed to have met you…. Fish on my friendSee more..
Man I took a random trip to Alaska and found these guys out of random search. Boy do I recommend them. They had some super cool spots for viewing amazing scenery. They know their trails, they brought bear repellent, they offered water for us. The trip was great. I highly recommend.See more..
5.0Pure Fun Alaska(6 reviews) - Best ATV tour near Homer 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
One of the best 2 hours spent while in Alaska. Our family ranged from 78-17 years old and every single one of had a blast! The machinery was top notch, views were to die for, and Jason was the best guide. We still have smiles on our faces from the trip and will have many memories from the stop. All around an amazing trip and well worth the stop. If you have the time add this to the itinerary!See more..
This was a blast! Sharing this challenging thrilling adventure with my three sons and son-in-law was a lifetime experience. We rescheduled our Alaska trip by a year due to 2020 COVID restrictions. What a way to finally do this. It was so exiting for all of us. The scenery was breath taking and the trails were thrilling to ride on. The ATVs powered through the mud patches and dug in going up the hills with no problems. It was a blast. Our guide shared stories of the area as well as his experiences while we explored the old hunting cabin still in use today. Make this adventure part of your plans. It's a thrill of a life time!See more..
