Alaska's Inter-Island Ferry Authority, Alaska, United States

4.5 (80 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Prince of Wales Island Ferries

Another awesome trip, POW to Ketchikan

As always, the staff is very professional and accommodating, and always answer any questions with a smiling demeanor. It is such a beautiful trip between POW and Ketchikan. It’s really a million dollar experience I feel for paying so little. I have utilized many fairies in the past in Alaska, and have used Inter Island Ferry more than a dozen times and I have never been let down. They are always on time or early, which means a lot when you’re booking the rest of your trip, utilizing planes, trains, and automobiles so to speak, Thanks again for another wonderful trip.

    Beautiful trip
After traveling on it for years, we have always enjoyed the Inter-island Ferry trip. It’s a beautiful trip and the staff is always very nice. We enjoy eating in the galley, the food is always great. However, we did have an issue/complaint on the trip we just took - the boat was full and it was difficult to be able to find a seat in the dining area because so many people took a table and just stayed there the entire trip, even though they weren’t eating. On the trip over to POW Island, they finally made an announcement asking people if they were done eating to give their tables to those who were waiting, so we were able to get a table. On the way back to Ketchikan, however, we tried at least three times to find a table, but a lot of them were occupied by people stretched out sleeping on the seats! No announcement was made asking people to move, so we were unable to eat, since food is not allowed in the seating lounge. We couldn’t eat, and the restaurant lost out on the money we would have paid for our meals. I hope they will try harder t enforce their own rules going forward.
