5.0Spirit of the Coorong Cruises(832 reviews) - Cruise Mannum to Goolwa Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
We did the cruise from Mannum to Goolwa. Thanks to Jock & Warren for looking after us on the cruise and to Gavin for the return bus trip. Both legs of the trip were informative, great seeing the river & Lake Alexandrina from a different perspective. Plenty of smiles & laughs from everyone on board! Tasty snacks & lunch provided.See more..
The boat tour exceeded our expectations. The scenery, and being able to see seals and dolphins was absolutely amazing. The two gentlemen on board were friendly and helpful, providing a running commentary the whole tour which was interesting and entertaining. My husband and I will now be booking for all the other boat tours this company operate, as it really was an experience to remember. Highly recommend. A fantastic way to spend Australia Day .See more..
5.0Oyster Farm Tours - Coffin Bay(228 reviews) - One of those Magic Moments making Magic Memories. Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eco Tours • Food Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
What a different but wonderful experience! The tour was informative and fun with Ben and Kim being knowledgeable and entertaining. The oysters were the stars in their pristine environment along with a nice drop of Riesling. Dressing in our waders walking out to the sea platform in the bay set the scene. It was just a great time!See more..
5.0Experience Coffin Bay(193 reviews) - Short and very sweet! Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Food Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
We booked the short and sweet tour of the Coffin Bay Oyster Farm and it was fantastic! The boat was excellent, new and clean and even had a toilet. The hosts, Chris and Scotty were brilliant, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The fresh 1/2 dozen oysters (per person) that are part of the tour were DELICIOUS. Best oysters we’ve ever had (and we’ve had a few!). Good drink selection to complement the oysters. Dolphins joined us twice swimming really close to the boat. Overall highly recommend!See more..
Unquestionably the highlight of our trip to the Riverland was the sunset kayak trip with Kym. He’s a superb guide - thorough, extremely familiar with the myriad waterways of this beautiful area and a very relaxed and gentle support. Being on the intimate anabranches of the Murray in late afternoon was a delight, but as the sun set and the stars were reflected in the still water, a unique and dreamlike experience unfolded. We are experienced kayakers, but for this you really need someone who knows the area well by day and night and Kym is that person. This trip is for everyone - experienced and novice kayakers alike. The kayaks are very stable and easy to paddle and everyone can feel completely confident. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough.See more..
5.0Camel Treks Australia(148 reviews) - Exceptional care and knowledge of these gentle giants Multi-day Tours • Safaris • Hiking & Camping Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
It was obvious from the outset that Karen, Paul and the Cameleers all love and care deeply for the welfare of these gentle giants. Their knowledge and experience with the Camels and a the beautiful landscape is exceptional, and then at the end of each day to bring all of the magic together and come to a comfortable campsite, with delicious food cooked to our tastes, and snuggle up in the clean and comfy swags to sleep under the stars was once of the most relaxing and wonderful holidays we have ever experienced. Camel treks Australia exceeded all of our expectations and made us feel welcome, treated every guest and an individual and ensured that comfort and safety throughout the entire experience was achieved. We hope to do it again very soon.See more..
5.0EP Cruises(126 reviews) - A whale of a time Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
We had an absolute ball and it was a laugh a minute with the professional crew. We were up close and personal with whales, calves, seals and birds as we sailed the seas. We were also spoilt with great running commentary via microphone so all can hear, and drinks and food snacks. We were encouraged to move around the boat and had all our needs catered for. We were indeed blessed with the sighting of many whales plus a three week old calf who showed off for us. Well worth doing and booking in advance.See more..
5.0Canoe the Riverland(91 reviews) - Enjoy the serenity of the Murray Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Boat Tours • Eco Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
Have used the service at Canoe the Riverland and Jim and Ruth have always been welcoming, fantastic and incredibly helpful. The prices are incredibly affordable and there’s an option to spend and hour, two, four or even the whole day on the water. The kayaks are in good condition and the creeks are beautiful and serene to paddle about it. Enjoyed my experience both times and cannot recommend the business enough for a beautiful day exploring the Murray watersSee more..
5.0Four Knots Murray River Cruises(69 reviews) - A trip on the Might Murray. Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historical & Heritage Tours • Boat Tours • Eco Tours • Food Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
The trip was actually a Seniors day out from Adelaide on an organised tour. Chad our captain and commentator was knowledgeable, relaxed and possessed just the right personality for his job. Tania assisted ably with tea and coffee and muffins. It was a perfect day to be on the river and the Whistling Kites performed well for us. An excellent outing.See more..
We took the four day, three night, Outback Contrasts Tour. We could not recommend this tour more highly. Owner Geoff and guide Rosie were especially welcoming, hospitable and helpful and their knowledge of the geology, fauna and flora of the area was exceptional. As they had access to areas of the Gawler Ranges not readily available to the general public, we were able to visit places that we otherwise would have missed. On top of this, our accommodation at Kangaluna was excellent - the "glamping" tent was spacious, comfortable, well appointed, well maintained, with an ensuite toilet and bathroom. The camping facilities carefully and creatively blend into the bush setting. The meals were a highlight - great variety, quality and plenty to eat and drink, whether served in the dining room, on the road, or at "Sunset Beach" for drinks and nibbles. Well worth the investment!See more..
5.0Murray River Trails(48 reviews) - One of the best walk ever Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Walking Tours • Eco Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
Our group of 10 friends and family embarked on a Murray River Walk in July. All I can say is I would give this walk and experience the highest rating possible. Our guides, Drew, Jo and Cook extraordinaire, Sally, were absolutely fabulous. We were so impressed with Drew and Jo’s knowledge of the area and the indigenous history in a pair so young and Sally’s cooking skills and presentation of everything was second to none. The walk was fabulous and a lot of fun with much learned along the way. The food and drink were restaurant quality down to every minor detail. The houseboat accommodation was fantastic however I will say it will be even better when the custom built boat becomes part of the adventure. With everyone having their own en-suite, rather than sharing 2 bathrooms between 10 people. Well done Murray River Trails you’ve definitely got everything right. Thank you for an amazing experience.See more..
Coorong Wildside Tours was a experience on the unspoilt Coorong Lagoon. Glen greeted us at the Long Point Jetty, near Meningie. The Wildside boat was stable and safe for all ages, with PFD's provided. Glen gave us a personal experience and shared his vast knowledge of the Coorong and it's ecosystem. The unspoilt scenery and surrounds were remarkable. Along the tour we saw Emus and their chics in the Dunes, Swans, Pelicans (all from the boat) and gained lots of information on birdlife, fish of the Coorong, and background details on the dunes, vegetation, native and non native fauna. Afterwards, were were treated to some plates of very tasty fish provided by Tracy, along with some interesting stories of their life adventures. They both made the tour an personal experience that is well recommended (with the exception of some jokes from Glen)See more..
4.0Iron Knob Mine Tours(13 reviews) - Worth stopping by and checking out the town & mine Nature & Wildlife Tours
Easy to follow signs from the highway will take you to the Information Centre. We arrived about 9:15am and tours are at any time I guess. We were offered a tour straight away. You'll need covered shoes and some money for your entry donation of however much you wish. Friendly reception and the tour starts with a short 6 minute video. Then it's off in the mini van with 'tour leader' Frank. Frank toured us about the town pointing out bits and pieces and told us about the place and its history. He then took us up to the mine. Interesting to have a look. We spent more time touring the town than the mine area but that was ok. Allow just over an hour. Glad we stopped by.See more..
Instructor Manny was the best dive instructor I have ever had! I have well over 1000 dives under my belt and I understand that each new shop that I dive with comes with the chance of getting a sub-par crew. However, the crew at Coffin Bay Scuba Co went above and beyond when it came to all aspects of the diving experience. I am a capable diver, but it is always great when you can tell that safety is the company's top priority. In addition to the top-notch crew, the dives they took us on were outstanding! Out of all of the places I've been (Hawaii, Bali, Turks and Caicos, Belize, and Mexico to name a few), Coffin Bay Scuba put Coffin Bay up at the top of my list. If you are in the area and have the chance to check this place out, definitely do!! Be sure to ask for Manny specifically because he is the man! Easily the highlight of our trip!See more..
5.0Secrets of the Stringybark Bushland(7 reviews) - Fascinating detailed walk in nature Walking Tours • Eco Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
We thoroughly enjoyed a very informative and interesting walk in this beautiful patch of nature. Renata & David encouraged us to look at nature in more detail. Their entertaining stories of animals, insects, birds & plants have inspired us to learn even more. No question was too silly & nothing was too much trouble.See more..
