Something for everyones budget This is my favourite store to visit in Strath. They have a large selection of everything and something for everyones budget.I can walk around and take my time and enjoy looking at everything.items i have brought from this store are Vintage concrete garden statues I have several Vintage dolls 2 cassette player walkmans.Records i got a vintage record player stand on wheels. I love that and it was only $35. I got some lovely dolls some needed some TLC and i gave them a make over.Recently i got a cute vintage doll he was only $30.The vintage barbies are $12 and I have also purchased some cute ornaments.I dont have a large budget i spend about $70 and get several items.The staff are very friendly. Its a great Store and a lovely town.Lots of cafes & other stores on the same street.Beautiful parkland & cute historic houses & shops & hotels.See more..

The presentation level was very high with such an amazing array of collectibles from many different eras. Home wares, decorator pieces, furniture, jewellery, memorabilia, all in one place and well presented. If you love a stroll down memory lane of what you, your mum or grandmother had in her home in years gone by or you are looking for a special piece to put pride of place in your home then this store is a must visit. Antique and Collectible Stores seem to call to me whenever I see one whilst travelling. Never Too Old in Penola was no different. Noted whilst having coffee in the Café Lito opposite, I just had to explore it after coffee was finished. The owner was very friendly with a great sense of humour, welcoming us with “Browsers are not permitted today.” Which he quickly corrected and implied not true and went on to welcome in a great country style. This broke the ice and made us feel as though we were old friends. The stock in the store was varied and ranged from valuable glassware and furniture to collectibles and a good selection in books. I fossicked and found two glass bottles and also 3 books from an older author that were hard to find. I was impressed with the stock and with the owner who, like many, was having problems with the financial impact of Covid19. Return? Most definitely when passing through Penola again.See more..

Just outside Minlaton on the Maitland Road is Spog’s Shed. At first looks I was wondering what was going to be inside the shed. Spog’s Shed is an Aladdin’s Cave of goodies. As the old adage says “one man's trash is another man's treasure”. The shed is so packed with nuggets waiting to be found, that it is matter to fossick. Books, old bottles, crockery, glassware, old and rusty farm equipment, fishing paraphernalia, furniture, silverware, old kitbags – wonder who GJJ, the initials on the leather kitbag in the back shed, and even the kitchen sink! When finished in the main area keep going to the back – there are sheds to discover and fossick in as well! I loved wandering through this collection of antiques, collectibles and general second-hand goods searching for a nugget that would catch my eye. Spog is a great communicator and loves to interact with his visitors and has, as on my two previous visits, been extremely helpful in trying to fulfil my shopping lists! Thanks Spog. As the visit was in Covid19 restriction times, Spog‘s Shed was in compliance with Dept of Health requirements. Return? Spog’s Shed is definitely on my to “return to list” when next in Minlaton.See more..
