This is a little caravan park - only about 6 sites but beautifully quiet and you don't need to be a golfer. Everyone is so welcoming, the amenities are super clean and the view over the 10th fairway is just gorgeous. We spent Easter there as a getaway from the crowds near the coast and the Murray River and were very happy we did. You can take well behaved pets also. If you are not a golfer, you are welcome to walk around the course and we were made very welcome in the bar (Wednesdays and Saturdays) by the members. One member on learning we were travelling to Western Australia even came back the next day with two information books for us. Thankyou everyone! See more..

    - Great country course.

Rocked up on Saturday morning to play in the comp but was a little bit early. Greeted my a lovely lady, Mary who decided not to play due to the weather turning nasty and offered my father and I the use of her electric golf cart. For a course that relies on volunteers to keep it maintained except for some professional help on the greens, the course is in excellent condition and well worth playing. Good job Penola golf club. If you’re nearby don’t miss a round of golf here. We played 1st March 2019. Very little rain this year but the greens were immaculate. The fairways were a little dry but really enjoyed our round. This course is maintained 100% by volunteers and you can see the love that goes into it. Very friendly people had a great chat with the bar manager and the club captain after the game. See more..
  8. 5.0 Port MacDonnell Golf Club (1 review)
    - A Local Gem
    Spent 1-2 hours Golf Courses
We dropped in to the golf club for Friday nights drinks. The locals were unbelievably friendly and provided us with great insight into the local area =, in particular the lobster industry. If you're there on a Friday buy some raffle tickets and enjoy the fun. Check to see if the meals are available as they are great value. See more..
