Pick a nice sunny day to do this, and you will be rewarded with great ocean views. The route is reasonable easy to follow although not as flat as I thought. Cycle in either direction, doesn't matter. In Goolwa we hire E bikes and is was the best choice, made for a very good day out with plenty of stops along the way. Enjoy fish & chips at the Flying Fish Cafe in Port Elliott. See more..

An adventure playground & recreational area surrounded by natural bushland, the famous Riesling Trail & a manicured oval, there is something for everyone. The main attractions are a flying fox, a climbing structure, mega slide, flying saucer swing & dual swing set all intertwined by paths, a creek bed & native plants. The next few months will see the installation of a BBQ, tables, chairs & shelter See more..

An amazing network of trails in and around all of the YP's towns. Stretching from the top along the east, around the bottom, and back up the west side to finish at Moonta. Walked the whole trail over a series of weekends, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Many weekends we saw no-one, and it was very peaceful and serene, while others we fortunate to chat to fellow walkers and locals. Highly recommend the trail in parts. Am not sure that anyone has the legs to do it all continuously even though the facilities would allow it quite easily See more..

    - Take your own bike

The trail would be a gorgeous bicycle ride but local bike hire companies won’t hire out the bikes if the weather is over 30 Celsius. This was very disappointing for us. We ended up walking a few kilometres of the track, which was beautiful- surrounded by crop fields. A kangaroo hopped along with us for a moment or two. 17 kilometre track with only slight undulations. See more..

Just to get you on your wheels and out into the wilderness that is available at your doorstep here on Mount Remarkable; you can hire your two wheels locally. Mountain biking is one of the perfect activities for completion on a mild to warm autumn, sunny clear winter or mild spring day. The birdlife, the wildlife, the vegetation and all things Mount are truly remarkable! Enjoy. But don't rush it. And take the time to prepare your body and pack the appropriate hydration. If you do, this will be a memorable experience for all the right reasons! Enjoy See more..
  6. 4.0 John Horrocks Trail (4 reviews)
    - Very picturesque loop off the Riesling trail
    Spent 2-3 hours Biking Trails
Well worth leaving the trail to take this loop. Good quality road surfaces and not too demanding. Some great cellar doors to visit with a lovely outside terraced restaurant at Skillogalee a highlight. Good wines to sample too, as were those at Kilikanoon (exceptional). See more..
