   A two minute ride, but it's an exciting novelty! It was busy when we got there, vehicles lined up on both sides, so it took about 25 minutes for us to get on. But on the town side is a pretty spot to get out and watch the crossings before yours, so it's no real handicap. There's a little bit of history to read about it on the foreshore, and the bell that was used to summon the ferry if it was on the other side is still there- I bet it annoys the locals if it's rung during the night! It's a real highlight for travellers, so stop and enjoy it. See more..
