A unique and magical experience
Unquestionably the highlight of our trip to the Riverland was the sunset kayak trip with Kym. He’s a superb guide - thorough, extremely familiar with the myriad waterways of this beautiful area and a very relaxed and gentle support. Being on the intimate anabranches of the Murray in late afternoon was a delight, but as the sun set and the stars were reflected in the still water, a unique and dreamlike experience unfolded. We are experienced kayakers, but for this you really need someone who knows the area well by day and night and Kym is that person. This trip is for everyone - experienced and novice kayakers alike. The kayaks are very stable and easy to paddle and everyone can feel completely confident. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough.

Canoeing the Murray River and Creeks at Sunset
Tranquility, relaxation and enjoyment in taking time out to take in the serenity of the river and backwaters. What better way than in a canoe, during sunset. We indulged in the guided sunset canoe adventure and from the first greeting at collection to being dropped back we felt comfortable and at ease. Kym was encouraging, patient with us getting the idea of paddling in a canoe and excellent on his knowledge of the river & creeks as well as the wildlife & flora on the ground and on the water! Pointing out local history, wildlife species and various plants along the paddling trip. Timeout from paddling 3/4 of the way to grab a drink and bite of local produce in biscuits, nuts & dried fruit put together by Kym's wife Karen. We were lucky to have perfect weather conditions for this canoe adventure. We had a great time and would recommend Kym and Canoe Adventures - Riverland to the unexperienced canoeists like us!!!
