My family and I rented a cabin in Carsons Creek. It was easily accessible to any restaurant and lake entrance. It took 5 mins to Carsons Creek and another 10-15 mins to Stevens Gap. Since the restrictions due to COVID-19 many restaurants close early. Many do offer take out but not much dine in. You will not be bored. Many things to do...axe throwing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing... or just taking in the beautiful views and wildlife.See more..

5.0Rugaru Adventures(405 reviews) - Amazing Experience! Sunday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
Absolute kudos to Isaac and Colt as tour guides. They were so informative and helpful, taking time to explain things while making the adventure entertaining for every member in our group. We had teens up to adults and everyone had smiles on their faces the entire time. They prepare you with a safety discussion, bus you to the starting point and take you through multiple segments of zip line, working up to a breath taking line over the lake. There are break spots throughout and courtesy water to ensure you stay hydrated. Pictures are taken throughout the event to capture every moment. These two made the experience all the better with their jokes and engagement with every member of the group. Minors are allowed with waivers for bough there are limitations for weight for safety, both minimum and maximum. I absolutely would return, experience is worth itSee more..
4.5Hefner Lake & Park(311 reviews) - Piece of heaven in The City Bodies of Water • Parks
It’s always beautiful to drive or walk around the lake. Great restaurants with patio dining and wonderful views, especially if you’re lucky enough to capture a spectacular sunset. It’s hard to believe something so splendid is smack dab in the middle of the city. I love watching the sailboats and the lighthouse always makes the perfect backdrop for gorgeous photographs. Lake Hefner is a great place to unwind, people watch or take in nature’s beauty ranging from flowers to animals. The more adventurous will love walking, running or biking around the entire lake. Plenty of people also fish on the lake so make sure you have permit before you do so. ☀️ ♀️ ⛵️See more..
4.5Robbers Cave State Park(271 reviews) - Loved our extended family getaway! Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM State Parks
Our visit was with extended family, a mini family reunion with mostly adults and one toddler. I’m glad we rented the ADA cabin for my parents, one of which has limited mobility. We also rented another one bedroom cabin, a two bedroom cabin and a duplex. Our two bedroom cabin had very irregular steps that were vintage and beautiful, but could be treacherous for some. We had a fantastic time! We were fortunate to get to eat at the newly opened Foggy Bottom Kitchen - yummo!!See more..
4.5Tallgrass Prairie Preserve(248 reviews) - Beautiful and Breathtaking Spent 2-3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
This was such a cool experience! There are literally thousands upon thousands of bison that are just chilling by the road. They are peaceful and intimidating at the same time. We got lots of amazing pictures and were generally awestruck by the landscape and the bison. I will say it's not an all-day activity, we went right before sunset and saw a ton of bison but once we got our pictures it was pretty much done. Honestly, I'm amazed it's free. Highly recommend, especially if you're new to Oklahoma.See more..
4.5Natural Falls State Park(220 reviews) - Beautiful Campground and State Park Sunday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM State Parks
This is a beautiful Oklahoma State Park with spacious campsites. It is very well maintained with a gorgeous waterfall and dripping springs in a nearby grotto. 7 sites have full hookups, the remainder have 30/50 amp electrical with very good water pressure. The cell service for Verizon runs about 2 - 3 bars, no WiFi. The office has a few staples and souvenirs. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful including the campground hosts. We camped at Natural Falls State Park in a Fifth Wheel. Tip for Campers: Shopping nearby is available at Siloam Springs, Fayetteville, Rogers and Bentonville, Arkansas. Siloam Springs has the Day Spring Christian Card factory and outlet store. You can also take a day trip to historic War Eagle grist mill and Pea Ridge Civil War battlefield.See more..
4.5Woodward Park and Gardens(217 reviews) - Lovely Sunday: 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Parks • Gardens
Woodward Park, located three miles from downtown Tulsa, encompasses nearly 45 acres surrounded by neighborhoods established during the 1920s and 1930s, including the Terwilleger Height Historic District, the Swan Lake Historic District, and the Maple Ridge Historic District. The Woodward Park and Gardens Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an example of one of the finest public gardens established in Tulsa during the first half of the twentieth century, as well as for The Mansion at Woodward Park, a 1919 Italian Renaissance-inspired villa designed by architect Noble B. Fleming, and home to the Tulsa Garden Center since 1954.See more..
4.5Martin Park Nature Center(164 reviews) - Wonderful Trail and Park Sunday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
Very nice place to go too, we showed up about 30 minutes before closing, but were able to complete 1 trail, which was fairly easy. I would definitely go again, we saw some wildlife and the trail looks to be maintained well. There is also a park at the beginning of the trail and some picnic tables.See more..
There is a wonderful primitive campsite just a short hike from the parking lot. A group of friends and I had headed out late one evening and hiked out to it at night, which unfortunately meant we weren’t able to alert the park rangers or register our vehicle. After a beautiful night out in the woods, we hiked back and were confronted by 2 rangers standing around our vehicle. Much to my surprise, they weren’t there to slap ridiculous fines on us or belittle us. They showed genuine concern for our safety, and once they understood the situation, they just let us off without any extra fines. A highly recommend this park if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of life, or a change of pace from the larger state parks that hardly allow camp fires even.See more..

Beautiful little area! There is a nice area for your RV and a tent area. Cute little gift shop with info on the cave. There is a nice covered picnic area for eating and relaxing. 4.5Medicine Park(148 reviews) - Medicine Park Sister’s Trip Parks
Wonderful walkable town perfect for a long weekend. We really enjoyed staying in the Creekside cabin through Airbnb. The wildlife refuge is a very short drive away. Cute shops, stands and cafes. We especially enjoyed dining at The Plantation Restaurant and those fried green tomatoes! The Tacos at Small Mountan Street Tacos are also worth a mention. The other eateries were average. Found some great gifts at Comanche Shirt Company and The White Buffalo shop. The weather shifts were pretty drastic in mid March. We saw lows in the teens our first night, some snow on day one and low 60’s on day two. Still a wonderful long weekend.See more..
We came to see the Butterfly "Papilion" (apparently a play on words of "pavilion" and the French word for butterfly "papillon".) While the Butterfly hut was small, it was beautifully executed with pleasant gardens surrounding it. There is a small fee ($3 per adult) to enter the Papilion gardens; the rest of the park is free. The park features a splash pad, a modern playground, several ponds, plenty of shady trees and picnic tables. The April azalea festival and the Christmas lights are special times to visit.See more..

4.5Kiddie Park(130 reviews) - 75 years and still going strong. Great family attraction Amusement & Theme Parks
Such a wonderful family attraction to visit. Rides are geared for elementary age and younger but there are some rides that the adults can do (carrousel, train and mini golf). Ticket price of 75 cents per ride and most rides last 3 minutes each, so you are definitely getting your money’s worth. We enjoyed our visit especially being able to see our daughter enjoyment after each ride. Her favorite was the Little Dipper (rode it six times) and the carrousel. Truly this great family attraction, and a local historical landmark to the city of Bartlesville.See more..
Lake Thunderbird State Park has some very hilly mountain bike trails, a nice change from the normally flat terrain of central Oklahoma. While the trails were quite sandy, they are decently taken care of and can easily be handled by both new and experienced mountain-bikers. The trails are accessible to hikers and parking is very easy. A great place to spend the day!See more..

4.5Heavener Runestone Park(112 reviews) - Gorgeous, Shaded, Unexpected Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks
I stayed three nights (I used HipCamp to book) at an electric site and had a completely great time. There are several very good hiking trails, and the sites are deeply shaded with pines and hickories. There are lots of playgrounds nearby and a stellar scenic overlook within a three minute walk. The runestone is always fascinating to see. The exhibits need updating but the current managers are working on improvements. The stonework going down to the runestone is of fine quality. Just a pretty park away from town (but town within sight in a valley below). The locals love it here, there are lots of groups with kids frolicking.See more..
We had just left Black Mesa State Park (horrible), so I was apprehensive about spending another two days in a dump. This park seemed like heaven! It was so very nice, clean, and well manicured. We stayed in the Whitetail section with FULL hookups, shade trees, cement patio table, level site, walking trails, ample trash bins and dump stations. It was quiet, except for the occasional train whistle from nearby Woodward. You have a great opportunity there for getting groceries, camping supplies or doing laundry here. We did not use the bath house. There is a nice park office and visitor center and pavilion with interesting facts on the wildlife, birds, and plants in the park that is in tip top shape. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.See more..
4.5Guthrie Green(104 reviews) - Beautiful open space for a stroll Sunday: 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM Parks
I was here while no event was taking place, so it was a nice open green space while a wandered around. It is a nice area right in the middle of the art and dining district. I could see in warmer weather how this would be the area's primary hang out spot.See more..
We stayed in the Lake House cabin for thanksgiving. It was wonderful! The cabin has three bedrooms - one has a kind bed and sleeper sofa and fireplace, the other 2 have 2 queen beds each. The living room has a fireplace and a sleeper sofa. Full kitchen. Nice deck with grill and fire ring. The cabin had even been decorated with a Christmas tree! The food at Foggy Bottom was really salty though so that was a negative - wish a better restaurant chain had paired up with the state parks. The service was good though. We enjoyed seeing the animals at the nature center. Wish we could’ve seen the Cherokee camping area but it was closed. Overall great experience!See more..
4.5Will Rogers Park(88 reviews) - A Walk in the Park Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Parks

4.0Haikey Creek Park(85 reviews) - My favorite place to run Sunday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM Parks

3.5Quartz Mountain State Park(79 reviews) - Really good, EXCEPT! Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM State Parks
The views are beautiful, the grounds are amazing and the room was lovely. We were very disappointed there was no restaurant on site, and the closest one is 30 minutes away. Also, the tub wouldn’t drain and the toilet ran all night, even after shaking the handle. Keep in mind the parking lot is quite a distance from the rooms, which would be fine if there were luggage racks to help carry our things.See more..

4.0Lake Murray State Park(73 reviews) - Very pretty park. State Parks • Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas
We visited the park over two days for some fishing and sightseeing. This is a very scenic park and all of the facilities looked to be very nice. We are not into camping anymore so we stayed in Ardmore which is only about a 15 minute drive from the park. The park does not charge an entrance fee but does charge for parking. If you rent a camp space, your parking is included. You can use an online app to prepay your parking in advance and there is no check-in at the park. Very convenient. We did some fishing feom the two fishing piers in the park. I use a mobility scooter and both are easily accessible. Lots of bites and drowned worms but no luck. The park was very peaceful and there were lots of hikers and bikers using the trails. We, along with our fur babies, enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful weather. We will definitely be back.See more..

The Mountain glistens as you approach it. The climb up the stairs is somewhat steep "there are benches along the way" but the last 10ft to the top in is a little rugged as the stairs end. Once at the top the view for miles is beautiful in all directions. The landscape is great for pictures and is very relaxing. As you hike you'll see a lot of native plant life and animals including vultures and lizards. Across the far edge of the trail there is a bench set up for you just take in the views. I really enjoyed it, it's not very difficult to find or climb and is well worth it. I reccomend spending at least 2hrs here. There is vending at the parking lot with permanent portapotty style restrooms if needed. See more..
4.0Keystone State Park(67 reviews) - If you're driving through, stop and check out the dam! State Parks • Parks
Just passing though, we drove across the dam and pulled into the downstream side of the dam. Very impressive! Definitely worth stopping. We walked all the way up near the base of the dam. Lots of large birds including herons and pelicans. Nice restrooms at the parking lot as well. We also turned in at the state park itself to see if there was anything worth seeing on a "drive thru" like ours...but not much to see. Drive up to the Ancient Forest instead if you want views and hikes.See more..
4.5Beavers Bend State Park(64 reviews) - Parking Pass First, then enjoy the park. Sunday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM State Parks
Pay attention to the parking pass signs, and get the pass while you have service or connect to their wifi. Or venture into the park to the Heritage museum BEFORE attempting to park anywhere. I'm almost certain that one of the parking enforcement trucks watched us pull into a spot because it wasn't 5 minutes away from the car when we were getting a ticket. Other than that, we enjoyed our time! We got the pass for the whole day, and drove through the park, taking in all the scenery. Then, we stopped off at the Spillway to checkout the dam and watch people fish in the stream. We hiked down to the edge of the lake and put our feet in the water. We rented a paddle boat for an hour. Lots of fun things to do and see. We spent our entire day here.See more..
4.5Boomer Lake Park(61 reviews) - AMAZING ASSET! Yet another FREE Stillwater activity! Spent 2-3 hours Biking Trails • Parks • Jogging Paths & Tracks
I often visit family in Stillwater and have found great solace at Boomer Lake Park. Whether you're a jogger or walker, you will find beautiful sites on the nearly 3-mile perimeter loop. People-watching breaks the rhythm on those hard runs or walks, and the gulls will cry out if you step too close to one of the picturesque points. Benches, pavilions, and playgrounds abound; there's even a kids' water park for those hot Oklahoma days. DO NOT MISS!!! See more..
4.0Pelican Bay Aquatic Center(50 reviews) - Great "mini-White Water"! BUT - things to know in advance... Sunday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Water Parks
As long as you know in advance and are okay with... -Everyone must get out of the pool every 50 minutes (so life guards can check the pool areas, so kids can reapply sunscreen, for snacks, etc.... -Only coast gaurd approved life jackets/floaties are allowed (no blow up arm floaties). -Out-of-park snacks must be left in the car or at the front desk Then... You'll have a great time! I'd recommend this park for ages 13 and under & families, since there are only 2 slides & no "thrill rides." We WILL be back. Great value & I enjoyed getting out every 50 minutes to relax for 10 minutes before being drug back in by my 6 year old. Loved... Lazy river Tornado in the middle of the river Deep in for diving 2 slides For younger kids... Splash area Smaller slides Climb on toys Please give me a thumbs up if you found my review helpful.See more..
4.0Turner Falls Zipline(47 reviews) - Fun and must do!! Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
This was so much of fun! Not scary at all! I was expecting a roller coaster drop but nope it was a smooth and nice drop. My daughter, who is 4years old was so afraid to get on it but eventually fell in love with the ride. She flayed her hands like she was flying all the way down. Amazing view! The overlook of TurnerFalls and the castle also visible from here. The gift shop sells even crystal bracelets for a really cheap price! Items are all well priced.See more..
4.5Talimena State Park(44 reviews) - Perfect gateway to Ouachita National Forest Spent More than 3 hours State Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Talimena State Park is the perfect gateway to the Ouachita National Forest. The park is a small park focused on providing camping and RV sites next to the National Forest. It serves this purpose to a T. We stayed at campsite #1. While the rent pad itself was not of a sufficient size to accommodate our tent, this site was large enough to offer a flat space to accommodate our six-person tent. Note: many of the tent sites would’ve been too small for our tent. So, if you have a large tent, be sure you have a tent site that will fit your tent. The campground has clean restrooms and showers. The campground is located at the west end of the Ouachita Trail. In fact, campsite #1 is at the trailhead. This was a great access point to a great trail. See more..
Clean sandy beach areas at the lake. Lots of areas to throw away trash. Area seems maintained. Day passes were less than $10 for entire car load. Very impressed with how quite it was and how the families social distanced themselves across the sandy beach area. Made for a nice outing!!!See more..
We loved Turkey Flats RV Park. The hosts were both very warm and helpful. We had problems with our trike on the Highway and the hosts stopped to check on us along with two or three others. We made it back to camp but it meant a lot that the hosts and others stopped for us. Lake Eufaula is a very beautiful lake. It’s also a huge lake. I’m sure there is plenty more to see but glad our first trip was at Turkey Flats! We enjoyed the short walk to the lake. Mostly shady so that’s nice in July! We also saw three young deer there. Wished I had my phone to catch those neat moments. Great trip!See more..

4.5Osage Hills State Park(36 reviews) - my favorite camping park State Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Forests
OHSP is lovely. Regardless the time of year, the park is extremely well-kept and clean. The campsites are fairly well-situated and there's enough room in each to spread out and not feel as if the campers next to you are in your space. Water and electric are available at all but the primitive campsites, and the cost is negligible. The area is on top of a rolling hill and heavily wooded. There are bath-houses situated throughout the park. Foe tent camping in an rv site (electric/water) and near a restroom, site 5 is our favorite. We are both elderly and handicapped but not bound to wheelchairs. We camp in instant tents and found site 5 to be the best for our use. It's also one of the prettiest sites in the camp. We have been camping in October, September, April, March and May.....be aware it gets very hot in the summer months...and in late September, the tarantulas wander freely during the day. Just leave them alone and they will happily wander on across the street.See more..

4.0Salt Plains State Park(31 reviews) - Nice place to visit as part of a day trip to the area. State Parks • Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas
This is a very nice park! We visited in January as part of day trip to the area. We first visited the park office, which includes a tiny gift shop. The staff was super friendly and super helpful. The lady there gave us lots of info about not only the park, but also the wildlife refuge and the surrounding areas. We drove down to the spillway and walked from the top of the dam all the way down to the bottom of the spillway. Lots of great views and lots of birds. We also drove through the rest of the park and stopped down by the lake where there were great views of the lake and the dam. There were very few people here in January when we visited. But the facilities look great (including the campsites, cabins, playgrounds, and bathrooms). Looks like a great place for family fun when the weather is a bit warmer.See more..
We booked three days because none of the available camping sites had full hookup. Eagle Nest Campground is the nicest of all the ones we visited, but still some sites are difficult to back into. The Park Hosts were available and helped us contact the park office to change our assigned site. They also checked in on us and made sure we were comfortable. Nice fishing lake, nice golf course, but not much else in the area that we discovered.See more..
