We visited with our son and two grandchildren (9& 5). This was the perfect place. We went on a 1 hr loop through the woods and we went through a couple of streams which was super cool!! Great views on top of a ridge. Horses were great and well cared for and the riders with us very pleasant and let us enjoy the peacefulness of the experience. I highly recommend this particular trail ride! See more..

The horses were in good shape, well cared for. Our guide was pleasant, funny and competent, even making the terrified children end up enjoying their ride. The horse I rode was responsive, yet quiet. Those trails are very rocky, but the horses had no trouble negotiating the path. See more..
  3. 4.0 Arbuckle Trail Rides (18 reviews)
    - Best trailride I've ever taken

This was by far the best trailriding experience I have ever had. As a horseback rider, it can be frustrating to take trail rides where either a) everyone just walks along at a slow pace or b) non-riders are made to trot and canter when they are not comfortable doing so. On this ride, I was able to take the reins (no pun intended) and canter out in the open in a big field while my boyfriend, who does not ride, stayed along the fenceline at a walk with the trail guide. They do their best to accommodate you and your group's needs. Worth the 2-hour trip from Dallas, in my opinion, for an authentic trail riding experience. We took a 1-hour ride, I'd expect that you'd see even more scenery on a longer ride. Highly recommend. Want to go back in the future for a longer ride. Reservations are required as they seem to be booked up on some days. See more..

We went to the winery because my sisters love wine. Val was eating lunch when we arrived but quickly finished up to give us a wine tasting. Val gave us a brief history of the winery and how he got into the business. Val lived a very colorful life and it was fun listening to his stories about his life. Val is very knowledgeable about wine and shared lots of useful information. I loved listening to him tell us how he made the wines and came up with the names and flavors. We sampled 4 types of wine and enjoyed most of them. The tasting was free. We ended up buying 3 of the varieties that we sampled. All were very good. See more..

We enjoyed a trail ride to celebrate a birthday. Holly was friendly and gave us thorough information before setting out. Her horses are well trained, but also are not simply trail horses who follow slowly nose to tail. Her helper Linda was friendly as well. We will be back! See more..
