    Upon arriving at the Visitors Center, I was greeted by a very friendly and informative ranger. The centers video was so informative about the area and its precious minerals. There were beautiful stained glass art pieces placed around the center- beautiful!!! You have to stop here and see what is displayed. See more..

    I am in the bank travel business. I take senior citizens on bus tours. On September 23rd and 24th I took a group to Claremore, Oklahoma. On our way to Claremore we stopped at the Oklahoma Visitor's Welcome Center near Miami, Oklahoma. A great place to stop if you are looking for Oklahoma travel brochures. The staff was very friendly and helpful in relaying information about their state. The center also had a nice gift shop as well as nice restroom facilities. I would highly recommend stopping here.     This travel center has all kinds of information for anything that you want to know about Oklahoma. It is located west bound, along I-40, about 16 miles after you crossover from Arkansas. The restrooms are nice, but only open until 5 PM There are the iconic teepee picnic tables to announce the Native-American heritage of Oklahoma. There are gift items made in the Sooner state, but you will need to ask one of the people working to look at the items. Their pricing is good versus many of the places that you would buy things along the highways of America. See more..
